Bazly Posted 27 July 2018 Posted 27 July 2018 Our team backbone has been Schmeichel, Maguire, Ndidi, Mahrez and Vardy. We always knew Mahrez was off this Summer but if we sell another key player I cannot really see how we can hope to progress on fresh recruits with no appreciable EPL experience bar Evans. If we do sell any of the other key players this window that surely says Leicester is an easy pick selling club. A new Southampton without the academy. I think if Maguire does depart for Man United we are screwed relying on Chilwell to bring the ball out of defence and he always gets tackled or gives it away; although to be fair Maguire does also quite often bad pass the ball away. Or maybe we can relive some magic moments of Morgan going on one of his steamroller ambling runs out of defence? There is actually an answer to the initial question. Chelsea fans are shitting themselves about Kante to PSG and Hazzard off to Real Madrid so we aren't completely alone.

splinterdream Posted 27 July 2018 Posted 27 July 2018 If Maguire and his family are liking tweets related to the Man Utd link, I'm hoping the club have a process of disciplining these actions, it's fine losing players to bigger clubs but we seem to have players making the club look stupid in order to get what they want, I suppose it's player power and there's not a lot that can be done about it, frustrating though.

Kshitij yadav Posted 27 July 2018 Posted 27 July 2018 I think we won't sell any more players if we are ambitious enough to get in top 7

Didn’t realise Maguire had already gone would of thought the club would have put something out about that tbh 1
Arriba Los Zorros Posted 27 July 2018 Posted 27 July 2018 (edited) Southampton. Swansea. Sevilla. Bayer Leverkusen. Ipswich. Borussia Dortmund. Valencia. Aberdeen. Sporting Lisbon. Palermo. Corinthians. Bigger and better clubs than us do this, as do smaller clubs too - we're part of the feeding chain - nothing odd about it as long as we prey on smaller clubsto replace players when we're preyed upon by the larger clubs. Sad but the reality. Edited 27 July 2018 by Arriba Los Zorros 2
North Leeds Fox Posted 27 July 2018 Posted 27 July 2018 Tbf it's not about selling your best players that is the issue, it's about the replacement process. If we trusted that our recruitment team were on it then it would be fine. We should not have sold mahrez until we had a replacement physically in the door or with an agreement in place. If we, for example had mawson and the lad from getafe already signed, then it would be a lot easier to take for maguire to go. However, as this ain't the case, we should not be selling him. 1
spacemunky Posted 27 July 2018 Posted 27 July 2018 2007/08 Spurs sold Keane(Robbie) to Liverpool and Berbatov to Man U after they tied for the team lead in goals. I think that was also the last year that Spurs won anything.

Guest Posted 27 July 2018 Posted 27 July 2018 As far as I can tell Leicester haven't done anything to warrant the suggestion.they'd make the list yet.
Guest Posted 27 July 2018 Posted 27 July 2018 (edited) In fact Leicester sold their 4th best player for £60m+ . How many other teams have done that? Sort yourself out man, that's good business. Edited 27 July 2018 by Guest
