Soyuncu is out until he gets a permit and would be surprised to see Benkovic in this early. With Evans subject to a late fitness test and being unsure on Maguire's physical condition I think Morgan will play but the fact he does means Puel will be more tempted to use Maguire. Might see Iborra with Ndidi and might see Diabate over Gray. Think Ghezzal will play some role from the bench. 1
RowlattsFox Posted 10 August 2018 Posted 10 August 2018 I know it will probably be the 4411 with Amartey at right back, Ricardo and Albrighton on the wings but I could potentially see a narrow 433 type formation with Silva, Iborra and Ndidi in the middle with a front 3 of Maddison, Ihenacho and Vardy. I suppose its a variation of the diamond and does rely on full backs for width. I just think at some point we'll be trying to get Nacho, Vardy and Maddison in the same team.

I don't disagree at all - I just don't think tonight will be the time Puel uses a system he's not tried in pre-season.

Got to keep an eye on the bench though as I expect Pogba and Lukaku to play some part. Hopefully they only come on at 60 minutes when Man U are two down
