FrankieADZ Posted 8 August 2018 Posted 8 August 2018 ball playing CB's, weve changed....... good to see the club actually looking ahead, certainly signals the end for some at the club imo come the end of the season thats for sure

Not sure why I thought he was at a Turkish club. Point still stands though. It's a big ask for such a young defender who has never played in this country to come in and step into Maguire's shoes straight away. 1

Buzzell Posted 8 August 2018 Posted 8 August 2018 These are the sort of transfers we’ve been after for a long time. Two young, talented centre halves as backup for Maggy, Evans and Morgan. Looks like we’re prepping for when Morgan goes which will look like the end of this season. I just hope we still hold on to Maguire.
Grebfromgrebland Posted 8 August 2018 Posted 8 August 2018 I think Puel wants 4 centre backs. 2 senior in Maguire and Evans and 2 back up in calgol and benkovic. Johnson is not in contract and Morgan and benaluane are only playing through lack of other options. 1
TheUltimateWinner Posted 8 August 2018 Posted 8 August 2018 Good move bringing in two defenders regardless of if Maguire goes or not. 2

Scotch Posted 8 August 2018 Posted 8 August 2018 I really like the look of this lad. Looks to have great positional sense and calm on the ball. 1
Koke Posted 8 August 2018 Posted 8 August 2018 This was from a few months ago. Liverpool-linked Caglar Soyuncu will play in Premier League next season That's according to Altinordu president Seyit Mehmet Ozkan, the club, where the Freiburg wonderkid started his career. The Daily Mail report claimed a few days ago that Liverpool are ready to battle for a young Freiburg talent. • And now the president of the Turkish side Altinordu claims the following: “Caglar Soyuncu is going to the Premier League. He will be there next season, there are big clubs after him. “I’ve also been told that Bayern Munich arescouting him so we will see. He is strong, powerful and doing very well.”
Liamlcfc1 Posted 8 August 2018 Author Posted 8 August 2018 It's dropped someone off it normally stays if it's bringing the owners in

dpjfox Posted 8 August 2018 Posted 8 August 2018 Sensible move bringing in U23players so they dont have to be registered in the official 25 player list ie on the development list
dimmerchant Posted 8 August 2018 Posted 8 August 2018 1 minute ago, The whole world smiles said: Its behind a pay wall you couldn't be a darling and copy and paste? Leicester City are on the verge of signing two centre backs, which would pave the way for the club to sell Harry Maguire to Manchester United. Leicester expect United to make a late bid for Maguire and they value the England defender at £65 million. They have prepared for the possibility of his departure by agreeing deals to sign Caglar Soyuncu, from Freiburg, and Filip Benkovic, of Dynamo Zagreb, for a combined £33.5 million but Claude Puel will still bring in both players even if Maguire remains at the club. Maguire appears to have emerged as United’s best option as José Mourinho desperately tries to bolster his squad before the transfer window closes tomorrow. Bayern Munich valued Jérôme Boateng at nearly £45 million, while Tottenham Hotspur want about £65 million for Toby Alderweireld. Both players are 29, four years older than Maguire. United initially wanted to sign Boateng on loan, but Bayern rejected that idea. Sport Bild, the reputable German newspaper, claimed last night that Boateng called Mourinho to tell him that he did not want to join United. They said that Niko Kovac, the Bayern Munich manager, persuaded him to stay at the German club and fight for his place in the team instead. Tottenham said there has been no bid yet from United for Alderweireld. He is in the final year of his contract, which includes an option to extend it for a further season. However, the same clause allows Alderweireld to leave for £25.4 million before the final 14 days of the transfer window next summer. Maguire is Leicester’s only centre back under 30 — Jonny Evans is 30, Yohan Benalouane 31 and Wes Morgan 34. Soyuncu, 22, will cost £20 million and has been offered £50,000 a week. Benkovic, 21, will be £13.5 million and has had a medical with the club. 3

Grebfromgrebland Posted 8 August 2018 Posted 8 August 2018 This is great news looks like we're bringing in 2 first team quality centre backs this is really exciting, genuine competition now. We have 4 players who we can interchange. Last season we had 1.
lcfc278 Posted 8 August 2018 Posted 8 August 2018 Just watched a youtube video of him and he looks quite Maguire-esque, lots of runs out with the ball and linking up play. I am fully aware the perils of a youtube highlights video though (Kaebi) and I know they could probably make a youtube highlights video of me playing and make me look League 2 standard. Look's promising though!
surrifox Posted 8 August 2018 Posted 8 August 2018 This is the weirdest lead up to a new season since Dennis Shitehead wise was unveiled as our marquee signing 1
