Central defenders needs experience so i think they need a proper loan to a good championship team. They also need a great mentor to play along side. I think Liam Moore was ruined by Wes Morgan. But Huth came in an he made Morgan into a champion.  I think Maguire could still  learn a lot off Evans as he is very seasoned aswell.

I do find it a little strange that we are signing 2 centre backs of a similar age and hoping to keep Maguire. We definitely need two with Evans being an injury concern and Morgan being on his last legs but I'd be surprised if Morgan became 5th choice?

 

I've never heard of him until this morning but everyone seems positive so that will do for me.

So we'd have Morgan, Maguire, Soyuncu, Other new guy, Evans, Benny, DJ, Hughes, Knight and Moore. You'd say Benny and Morgan have a year or so left in them, Evans around 2 and Maguire will probably be off. So may not be a bad idea

I find it difficult to believe we're stock piling centre backs now after doing the same with forwards in the last 18 months.

Surely someone is going to leave too. I didn't think the Maguire transfer was going to happen at any point, now I'm not so sure.

Genuinely think if we're indeed signing 2 more CBs Puel will have us playing 3 at the back. Keeping Maguire and getting Soy in as the ball players.. perhaps with Evans/Morgan in the centre

I highly doubt we will get both, it will be one or the other i would imagine. Unless of course Maguire goes or we have deals in place for Wes and/or Benny. Then maybe we will be in for both.

 

Thank god there's only one more sleep to go.

After such a relaxed couple of weeks on the transfer front from the club, it seems like they're working overtime on these two centre backs. You could be right, maybe we'll only sign one but it now wouldn't surprise me if we bought both and HM goes tbh
