He's onside. The perspective tricks the eye to make you think he is offside, it's all about the angles.

I thought he was offside on the VAR pic that seemed to concentrate on his foot and ignore his upper body

there really should be a forfeit rule when this sort of thing happens. totally pointless second leg.

That would deny Burton of some much needed money though.

The second leg may be a waste of time but Burton will make money from ticket sales won't they? Not pointless from a financial point of view.

Wonder what the highest goal tally is in a 2 leg match ?

Well the highest aggregate score is 9-0 over 2 legs in a semi final (Also Man City when they thrashed West Ham a few years ago).

It's a bit disgusting this

Alex Ferguson had too much class for this.

He always called off the dogs and allowed sub standard opponents to retain some dignity.

Arab gauche from Man City. Gold bicycles. Million pound rolexs. Skiing in Dubai. All money and no class.

Let's imagine we could take penalties or put a stronger side out and beat Man City, we Would have been down the KP freezing our asses off this evening. :colder:

So

Question :How many would we have scored against Burton?

As a side issue its only half time so Nigel Clough needs hell if a team talk lol

"were gonna win 10-9 sing the Burton fans

Surely its more patronising for a team to stop trying because they feel sorry for the opposition?

What about when they beat Ipswich 9-0?

There's no need to pump a team 9-0 when every player in their eleven could probably buy the club. It's classless especially recently since PEP was on about it being so hard for youth to break it into the team to play a team worth about 400 odd mill.

It does, but the view that was shown on the tv that was used in the car was also not inline and more towards the corner so it could also be argued that that view made it appear he was onside.

Well I'm just going off what Chelsea think shows him offside. It doesn't, unless you don't understand perspective. In which case you'd think he was.

We might not have played Burton, and before anyone says "we would have been the same number", it doesn't matter.

If they're playing well enough why shouldnt they? What are they supposed to do, pass it between their centre backs for 60 minutes? Not very entertaining for anyone and quite patronising to Burton if they did.

Also, the only thing I like seeing in football more than an underdog winning is a team getting a right royal tonking. So I might be biased in my views to be fair.

It's quite obvious that the var is set up to favour Kane!

Too much class?

The bloke intimidated referees to a ridiculous extent, openly let his players like Keane shout and scream at them, he put pressure on international managers not to pick his players and didn't talk to the BBC for 20 years because a reporter had the temerity to do his job.

Ferguson had no class at all.

Let's not complicate it by saying we might have drawn Spurs or Chelsea instead.

The question was "how many would we have scored against Burton" ? :scarf:

Disagree.

He chose his battles and was a vile, ferocious man in the big matches.

He mentored many a manager. Heavily advised newcomers to the top division. Was a true 'MD' in his dealings with Man Utd ancillary staff.

And called off the dogs if a team was out of their depth

It's just arrogant, well done you're owned by disgusting people who have chucked loads of money to get the elite players, the elite shitting on the little man, real entertainment, no need for it.

I honestly doubt Burton give a damn, I'd be more embarassed if a team stopped trying. Grow a pair of balls and accept they're better. It's refreshing to see a team keep going for goals instead of turning the game into a borefest.

Mahrez was offisde at least 4 times tonight, still lazy.

Was gutted it wasn't 10-0, **** every underdog in cup ties ever again after that newport shambles.
