Man on, Turn and Clear.

That will do

Exactly, something other than his lack of English is obviously a problem, ideal opportunity to play him last night.

Claude Puel has revealed that Caglar Soyuncu is yet to make his Leicester City debut because the centre-back’s lack of English is making it difficult to communicate with his team-mates.

The Turkey international is yet to feature for the City first-team since joining the club in a £19million move from Bundesliga side Freiburg on deadline day.

“For the moment, he has some problems communicating with his team-mates because he does not speak a lot with all the good words and sentences,” said Puel.

* Irony Klaxon ;)

This excuse SLB.   So we will continue playing with slow CB's until the younger more mobile one can speak English.  Very odd :ph34r:

That's called diplomacy, in reality he's probably not up to scratch yet.

Yeah, it's got to be. You don't go pumping £20-25m on someone and not even play them in a cup game. Even the biggest clubs wouldn't do that!!!

Not forgetting intensiteeeeeee

Geoff, when you are interviewing him, do you get the sense that he understands more than he lets on and could communicate better than he does in interviews

No and, with a bit more effort with the language, yes. Interviews are a real struggle to be honest.

and you're sure he definitely isn't playing up to the expectation to avoid any difficult questions or to allow him to answer the question he would have like to receive ???

From what I gather from people in the dressing room, he speaks to the players in the same way he speaks to the media. He's not doing some clever trick where he's fooling us journalists.

Nigel Pearson played this straight bat with the media but in the dressing room he was different and the players loved it.

As was pointed out when he joined (I think by @Rob1742) his poor communication skills with players/media is not a problem when the team is winning but it becomes an issue when things aren't.

One other thing from the weekend, I asked him (about 3 questions into the interview) if he felt some pressure had been eased with the win against Huddersfield, on the back of 8 league defeats in 12, and he needed the translator to explain the question. His face was like thunder, his tone changed and he basically said last season didn't count.
