So it seems like we have 3 CBs that prefer the left and Morgan on the right with Benkovic, who looks to prefer the right on loan - hmmm?

I’m not convinced maguires preferred side is the left.. he’s just played left for us and England cus he’s the better left option than others.

im sure he could play equally as good at RCB with Evans/Soyuncu playing LCB

agree with others that I’d select Evans for experience away at arsenal and I think purl will too. Depending on how Evans performs depends who plays vs West Ham.

Almost certainly will be Evans for the Arsenal game - going away to Arsenal we have put the experienced player in. Evans, bar a shaky first half vs Wolves has been decent so I see no reason not to put him in.

I'd expect, barring an Evans car crash on Monday, he'll keep his place for the West Ham game and we'll definitely see Soyuncu in the Southampton cup tie.

will  Maguire and Evans be mobile/Fast enough to cope with 2 up front in Lacazette and Aubameyang?

Think this is a valid concern and could make a case for Soyuncu to play because of it but whoever we played at CB the pace of Lacazette and Aubameyang would still be a pretty big issue.

Im really looking forward to seeing Soyuncu play for us, but I don't think Monday v Arsenal is the right game.

Evans will start and Soyuncu will be on the bench (thats my guess anyway.)

Same as. Huddy Newc or Kardif yes but not Arse away.

Evans. Soyuncu is a pure hype train at the moment that everyone has just jumped on for no real reason.

The usual, I've not seen him so he must be great because he cost good money train. Then he turns out to be a bit shit and everyone goes quiet about it for a month or two until enough time has past to demand his inclusion again.

Let's not forget though, by the same token, a nervy first twenty minutes takes years to come back from.

No, it's the 'I want to see what our new young international player just bought looks like playing at a decent standard for Leicester City' train.

He might be really good he might be a bit shit

And there in lies the problem, people wanting players to play just so they can satisfy their own curiosity. Rather than trusting people who work with him day in day out.

But if he's anything less than great right away he will be branded a bit shit and it will all fall on Puel.

I think I'd trust the full time professionals employed by the club to make these decisions for us.

Problem is I've only ever seen Soyunco play on the left both for the U23s and Internationally so not even sure he'd be any good on the right. I reckon he was bought as back up for Maquire with Evans and Morgan competing for the right side spot.

So I'll go Evans.

Curious. I see him as a long-term replacement for Morgan with Evans filling in the gap until he's PL ready. I think Puel will go for Evans against Arsenal.

Either way the manager will be slaughtered in both eventualities if we lose against Arsenal.

Not in the slightest. Easy to see why we invested heavily in another centreback, a young one with promise & pedigree. I'm just trying to be optimistic about Caglar, I don't see how wanting to see him play is a negative at all. Some players do come in and struggle but it's far from the mean.

I dont think so mate, if he comes in and does anything but bad I think people will be optimistic in the whole.

I was just offering balance the Babs arguement/comment.

Us fans don't know why Soyuncu hasn't managed an appearance yet whilst looking fine for Turkey, bringing him up to Premier League speed is probably the main cause and it's the managers prerogative when to pick him. I just wan't to see what our new no.4 looks like in the team, he's now apparently fit and ready according to Puel, there's a space in the XI, Evans hasn't gone above par in his performances. it should be about time really

Probably worst but highly likely scenario is :

Evans starts on Monday … we get battered … dropped for Saturday.

Caglar then starts Saturday … not the best of debuts … decide he is not quite ready.

Morgan comes back in against Cardiff to save the team.

The preverbial......???..Nailed

How can anyone know? No one's seen Soyuncu play. And when they do they'll have seen a 22 year old in a new league in a new team. Most of us have seen Darnell Johnson and Josh Knight play more minutes than either.

You've destroyed the sliver of enthusiasm I had for the next two matches. I hope you're happy with yourself!

Depends on how good Evans' English is.

Benkovic's Scottish is good. Can we recall him tomorrow?

I'm sure Maguire played some part at Hull as the RCB of the 3 they played at the back

Instead of shouting "hooooooooooooof" we can shout "hooooooooooooooots"?

Be the perfect game to try it. Let’s face it we never get anything at Arsenal. Put Iborra alongside Wilf and Mendy, Maddison off Vardy and Chilwell and Ricardo flying down the sides ?
