From a drone I expect ???

I guess that is the only relatively sensitive way, although even that might be seen as a bit much, given that grieving people on the ground will be able to hear it.

My point was really that aerial photo's are only available by limited means, and those means might aggravate people.

The flowers, shirts and scarves are quite simply humbling in scale and diversity. To see shirts, banners and scarves from so many other clubs is utterly breathtaking. I imagine Vichai would have been surprised just how he was viewed beyond his beloved Leicester.  More than anything this shows the measure of the man.

Maybe it would be good to keep all the shirts, scarves, flags etc and create a memorial wall or something. A symbol of the global reach of Vichai and the respect and love for him both here and beyond.

A thumbs up statue in a celebration of the great man would be less somber.

The shirts etc, personally I'd like to see go to the needy fans in his home country as a little payback gesture.

Work to remove the wreckage of the helicopter which crashed near to Leicester City's stadium is under way.

Club owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha died along with two members of his staff, the pilot and a passenger when the aircraft came down moments after taking off from the King Power Stadium.

Mr Vichai's funeral is to begin in Thailand on Saturday.

The Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB) said it will begin examining parts of the wreckage.

An AAIB spokesman said "the recovery operation is under way", adding that the helicopter would be inspected in detail at its specialist facilities in Farnborough "by the weekend."

Nusara Suknamai, Kaveporn Punpare, pilot Eric Swaffer and his partner Izabela Roza Lechowicz also died in the crash last Saturday.

Police have now formally identified four of the victims but coroners are still yet to formally confirm the identify of victim Kaveporn Punpare.

Went down to the KP last night to write in the book. Had to queue for 40 minutes despite getting there after 9pm.

The sea of flowers and tributes was very humbling, and I'll admit to feeling more emotional than I would've expected to - I'm usually a bit cynical about mass public displays of mourning but it felt really genuine. There were lots of simple, heartfelt messages there to read; all very calm, dignified, very much in keeping with how I understand Vichai conducted himself.

Found it quite difficult to tear myself away - every time I did a great memory came back into my my head and it felt better to reflect there than while wandering back to the car

AAIB Update from Today:

Update 2: 02 November 2018

Following the tragic helicopter accident on Saturday 27 October, our inspectors and support staff travelled to Leicester to start an investigation.

Our inspectors have now gathered and documented the evidence that could be collected while the helicopter was in place where it came to rest.

Last night, our engineering support staff oversaw the careful lifting of the wreckage. The wreckage has now arrived at our specialist facility in Farnborough, where it will be laid out and more detailed examination can continue.

The digital flight recorder is in our laboratory. Although subject to intense heat in the post-accident fire, initial work on it has allowed us to successfully download the recordings. Our inspectors are verifying the extracted information and have started the detailed analysis of its contents.

We would like to thank everyone who responded to our witness appeal. Our investigators are examining the videos and photographs we have received.

That's good that they've been able to extract the data from the recorder. That will be the single most important evidence to determine what happened.

That would be a great idea...

Collecting and putting together a long term exhibition/memorial, of all shirts and scarves, mainly made up of non-Leicester articles!!!

then separately put together, but with those only Leicester associated...Then an united group.

With a few major condolences phrase linking them....ie. Separated by colours,United in grief..YNWA...

If someone could put a United-group of scarves &shirts together,on an appropriate large frame,(copy of the title pot)for the players to take to the funeral.

I think it would be very fitting.
