Helicopter crash

Be good if there was an aerial photo so  we can see how far it wraps around the ground.

It was huge last night. There was no room to go any further around the away end turnstiles as that’s where the police cordon starts. Then at the other end it stretches as far round as the start of the family stand turnstiles

I think you need to, if you can.

I agree.  I took my son  after school today .  It’s amazing, and vast.  It’s tragic but also strangely comforting to see. It’s impossible not to cry I think.   And there are also free hot drinks inside apparently.

Do we know if other helicopters of this model and spec have been grounded pending the outcome of the investigation ?? Isn't that standard protocol ??

Slightly concerning this could happen again elsewhere.

I think this is the only recorded hull loss accident of this type of aircraft so far, so probably no need to ground the fleet unless the investigators uncover a common fault.

I haven't posted in this thread as yet this week but have read through almost every page of the very kind and thoughtful messages people have written over the course it.  For me personally I've come through some very tragic times over the past couple of months myself and the events of the last week have hit me pretty hard.  Grief I thought I had come to terms with quite well has come back and reading through all the kind messages of support and seeing the ever growing tributes at the ground has been very moving and touching.

I will be going down to the ground tomorrow afternoon after work to spend some time in reflection.  I know it'll be tough but I need to go.

It's a really tough thing to deal with is grief.  What I've found has worked for me recently is tackling it head on, reassessing where I'm at, and heading out each and every day with a greater sense of purpose of what I want to achieve.  For me I've found that thinking about the good times and looking for ways in which to turn negatives into positives has been the best way forward in dealing with tragic circumstances.  It's tough but with time it has and will get easier.

Everybody has been great on here and the sense of local community has been excellent.  I think the local radio have done a superb job and I've listened in every day.  Seeing Top and Claudio at the ground today has sent me off again as have the many tributes I've heard and watched over the past several days.

We truly support the best football club in the world for me, we have such fantastic people at our football club and Vichai's legacy will continue to take us from strength to strength.  Together we are so, so strong and we will get through this.

Take care everyone.

I'm going down there tomorrow afternoon as well mate. Give me a shout if you're around buddy

First loss of this model of aircraft apparently so they will wait on the aaib report..Problem with copters is when they go wrong they really go wrong.

Very interesting how this gentleman managed to quietly go about his business and gain respect and status in comparison to persons of similar wealth who are reviled by the media and public almost because they are very wealthy.

To be blunttish the club and the fans are going to have to focus on the next home game and the future in a few days time and push on albeit with all possible respect.
