dnewty Posted 11 January 2019 Posted 11 January 2019 John PercyVerified account @JPercyTelegraph now34 seconds ago More Huge blow for West Brom - Harvey Barnes is heading back to #lcfc after being recalled. Barnes has scored 9 goals on loan at Albion #wba
Langston Posted 11 January 2019 Posted 11 January 2019 YES. Now give him minutes. WE ALL DREAM OF A TEAM OF HARVEY BARNES.
lgfualol Posted 11 January 2019 Posted 11 January 2019 Start him tomorrow. Cant be dealing with our other wingers at the moment.
FrankieADZ Posted 11 January 2019 Posted 11 January 2019 good luck to him, he'll get pelters from some of our "fans" if he doesnt put in least 8/10's after how hes been doing this season for WBA certainly hope hes in the squad tomorrow but i doubt it
Babylon Posted 11 January 2019 Posted 11 January 2019 I think it's the right choice considering our options.
urban.spaceman Posted 11 January 2019 Posted 11 January 2019 Can we send them Iheanacho to develop for us as well as a gesture of good will?
AKCJ Posted 11 January 2019 Posted 11 January 2019 If he's coming back he should be starting every week. Slightly pissed off that after tomorrow our run of fixtures are so bad. Fans will be judging him immediately. Honestly don't see how this is a good decision when we've got nothing really to play for.
mod hero Posted 11 January 2019 Posted 11 January 2019 I’m really torn about this, I think we need him but I honestly can’t see him flourishing in this team with these tactics. Feel for the lad, I’m pretty sure he would’ve wanted to see it through with the baggies. Still, got to be a better option than Gray who offers absolutely nothing. Good Luck Harvey Hes one of our own ??
RowlattsFox Posted 11 January 2019 Posted 11 January 2019 If he's straight back I'd definitely throw him in to the starting line up tomorrow. Nothing to lose. And Southampton wouldn't have prepared for it.
RoboFox Posted 11 January 2019 Posted 11 January 2019 West Brom would've been compensated accordingly for breach of the loan agreement. Get him in the first eleven tomorrow, let's see what he can do. Albrighton, Maddison and Barnes behind Jaymeh.

Could argue that it's the best time to get him in the side, bit of freedom, allowed to make mistakes etc. Then again, you could counter that getting to the business end with West Brom would be beneficial to his development. The argument can be spun either way.

foxy boxing Posted 11 January 2019 Posted 11 January 2019 Brilliant news, now get him in the team. we want to see him play as much as he can. "Give the ball to Barnes and see what he can do, give the ball to Barnes and see what he can do". I think we are all getting excited by this!.

But given our options currently we need him. Hope he does well. Good Luck boi.

The answer to that one is you don't start him for those games. Makes sense to ease the lad back in, rather than chucking him in the deep end.

At about £3m per place in the table I can think of a possible£15/18m reasons for it. Also he has half a season to adjust to the prem. Rather do that now than at the start of the season.
lcfcell Posted 11 January 2019 Posted 11 January 2019 It was always reported he wanted to stay at WBA because of the game time, but he was happy to come back if promised he’d play for us, so hopefully Puel has told him he’s planning on playing him a lot up the Barnes !!
yorkie1999 Posted 11 January 2019 Posted 11 January 2019 don't know whether it's true or not but my wba supporting mate said his performances have dropped off for the last 3 or 4 games.

It's not a breach if there was a January recall option in place when they took Barnes on loan in the summer surely? Assume we just informed them of our decision and that was it.
mozartfox Posted 11 January 2019 Posted 11 January 2019 Common sense prevails. Now let's all get behind him,. Puel and the rest of the team and make 7th.
RoboFox Posted 11 January 2019 Posted 11 January 2019 Just now, Frost said: It's not a breach if there was a January recall option in place when they took Barnes on loan in the summer surely? Assume we just informed them of our decision and that was it. Yeah, totally. Depends whether we had option in place. If it was a season-long loan without the option for recall then we would've had to pay out. Obviously all conjecture, though.
TheSomersetFox Posted 11 January 2019 Posted 11 January 2019 Brilliant news. Not expecting instant fireworks but I’m very excited to see him get a run of games in this side. Well in Claude
