Guest Bob Hazels shorts Posted 11 January 2019 Posted 11 January 2019 From what i've seen Harvey's game is based on 'theres the goal i need to get there in the shortest, most direct and quickest time and shoot' If he is allowed and given the service to do that he will be like the second coming. We will obviously need to change though. He won't be used to sideways passing defensive midfielders not supporting attackers
Tuna Posted 11 January 2019 Posted 11 January 2019 Brilliant news, it's like getting a new signing. I hope he gets the starts he needs, and keeps his place in the team.
The Horse's Mouth Posted 11 January 2019 Posted 11 January 2019 Just hope Puel doesn't stitch him up two seasons in a row
Tuna Posted 11 January 2019 Posted 11 January 2019 Some snippets from the West Brom forum re Barnes: Hope he takes the Prem by storm and breaks into the England squad. Very important player for us and for my money, one of the best if not the best player in the league this season. He is one of a small number of players that can create something from nothing and ultimately score match winning goals and its this quality that will impact us most and is really difficult to replace as everybody is looking for the same qualities. I feel sick to the stomach. Harvey has a very strong shout for Championship player of the season so far....let alone our player of the season. Thanks for the excitement and consistent quality and effort Harvey and good luck. Gutted. We have no one with magic if he isn't in the team. We'll miss him a lot, gave us goals, attacking impetus, and great entertainment. May well be the end of our automatic promotion hopes - he made that much of a difference to the team. And finally... Feel obliged to having to note down my feelings towards Barnes. Thank you for restoring my faith in football, and more importantly, the Albion. Got me off my feet more times this year than anybody else has in the past decade. Top 5 best players/biggest impacts i've seen grace our club.
TheLittleBigMan Posted 11 January 2019 Posted 11 January 2019 Puel loves promoting our youth so he is coming back to the right environment. He wouldn't get a look in at most clubs. Fantastic news. He'll be well up for it.

shen Posted 11 January 2019 Posted 11 January 2019 Looking forward to see how much he has developed since the last time we caught a glimpse of him in our team. I really appreciate that we are seriously looking at our young players on loan with a view to bringing them into the first team. It will surely put the club in good light when approaching up and coming players.
Steven Posted 11 January 2019 Posted 11 January 2019 Darren Moore deserves better. Puel had better play him.
TheUltimateWinner Posted 11 January 2019 Posted 11 January 2019 Genuinely feels a bit like a new signing If he wasn't our player you'd want our club to sign him... this will really strengthen us in our wide positions. He'll be bedded into the team obviously, but he has the potential to be a starter for us until the end of the season.
Bluetintedspecs Posted 11 January 2019 Posted 11 January 2019 Foxes Talk at its best If we hadn't called him back it would have been, we've missed an opportunity and Claude is a clown for not taking a chance on a home grown talent who's been performing very well at WBA when we're crying out for some attacking flair. Now its: Big mistake/ too soon Not fair on WBA (FECK OFF ON THAT ONE) He won't be played or make the bench He's not had training sessions We as fans won't be patient with him/ expect too much Any of you want to be in Claudes shoes? I know the experts on here know better, however , this could be the right time to blood another exciting home grown talent and let him develop and integrate into the team and have faith in the decision our club have made? Radical suggestion but how about seeing how things develop instead of looking for negatives and sticks to beat Claude with?
RumbleFox Posted 11 January 2019 Posted 11 January 2019 This thread sums up exactly the battle Puel faces. Whatever he does he gets stick from somewhere. Hindsight will be able to tell us whether this was a good or bad move at this point in his career but there is no objective answer right now so to use a thread about bringing back a young player to have a wee bash at Puel seems to me to be silly. X
Jaspa Posted 11 January 2019 Posted 11 January 2019 Actually play the lad Claude, I'll be very disappointed if he ends up in the u23's again for the rest of the season. Hope he's optimistic about coming back too, gunning for promotion and starting every game in the Championship is quite the project for the lad, to be pulled out could knock the wind out of his sails, so hopefully he's determined and hopeful of getting starts here. Other than that good, he's a bright prospect who could light up this League
StriderHiryu Posted 11 January 2019 Posted 11 January 2019 After the cup defeat, and on 31 points we are firmly in the "mid table mediocrity" camp. Perfect time to give him starts to adjust to the team when there is very little to play for so he can hit the ground running next season. I think it's a good decision overall, as long as he gets given games.
Guest Cujek Posted 11 January 2019 Posted 11 January 2019 after 2 games without scoring he will be rubbish here

X I got those exact sentiments too reading some of the comments. For whatever reason, he's got his naysayers who will probably never warm to him whatever he does. It's pretty disheartening really.
Ric Flair Posted 11 January 2019 Posted 11 January 2019 I'll just put it out there, he'll win England the Euro Nations League in June.

Guest Bob Hazels shorts Posted 11 January 2019 Posted 11 January 2019 Cruel Puel Home game against Norwich 2nd against 4th 3 points difference Massive game, massive crowd, guaranteed to start and star. Sad for him and us. Better player next season when it counts staying there or coming back now?
Deeg67 Posted 11 January 2019 Posted 11 January 2019 Only on FT could this recall happen and have people predicting Barnes is going to be buried in the U-23s for the rest of the season.

Finnegan Posted 11 January 2019 Posted 11 January 2019 All the lads on their forum talking about him just warning the bench for us clearly haven't seen Rachid Ghezzal play.

It happened last season and Puel was in charge so there is a bit of a precedent to go on. I'm hoping the lad comes back and steps up but there is every chance he's been brought back as cover after Diabate has gone on loan. The good news in that is at least he's ahead of Diabate in the order of things now hopefully.
