Ric Flair Posted 29 January 2019 Posted 29 January 2019 I think we hold the upper hand with Silva, Jardim knows him from his time at Sporting and with only a couple of days to go will need to bring in a replacement, likewise we won't let Silva go without a replacement. I think he'll come here but these rollercoaster rumours won't stop.

gerrytaggart Posted 29 January 2019 Posted 29 January 2019 Spurs will try to sign him from under our noses but end up finishing 3rd behind Arsenal.
ROB-THE-BLUE Posted 29 January 2019 Posted 29 January 2019 If we actually had anything to play for I could see the advantages of a short term impact loan... but being out of the cups and fairly well planted in mid-table it seems a bit pointless bringing him in with no potential permanent deal in the pipeline. We're basically treading water til the summer.
GingerrrFox Posted 29 January 2019 Posted 29 January 2019 He’s not going to go to Spurs and sit on the bench. He’s too similar to Winks for them to play at the same time. Can’t see it myself.

Deeg67 Posted 29 January 2019 Posted 29 January 2019 Seems pretty obvious this purported big club interest is the agent trying to force our hand. It's all part of the dance.

Baring in mind we are considering binning Puel in the summer, it makes sense to get Silva some first team football in the 2nd half of the season and for us to have a new option that might help us win a game of football at home vs complete pony. There's many reasons to get this done, it might help bring some positivity to our home performances which is becoming a real issue.

Any realistic fan would have taken that at the start if the season and it's still achievable.

It is very obvious it is the agent bigging up the player and the media releasing articles for the clickbait People seem to forget that Adrien Silva is a massive part of the deal, Monaco aren’t going to turn down getting a player they clearly want by letting Tielemans go to a club where Monaco will probably get no more money than they would dealing with us.
Clever Fox Posted 29 January 2019 Posted 29 January 2019 It seems like a no brainer to move Silva on and get a young talented player in his place. At least Tieleman will get game time here.
TheUltimateWinner Posted 29 January 2019 Posted 29 January 2019 Can't wait for Tielemans to be next to Hamza on the bench watching Ndidi and Mendy pass backwards...
Deeg67 Posted 29 January 2019 Posted 29 January 2019 That joke wasn't funny the first time - it's certainly not funny the 100,000th.

If the Europa League isn't "something to play for", what would these fans consider something to play for - apart from a relegation fight? It is Champion's League or bust? Because love it though we might, it's not realistic for LCFC to be seriously pushing for UCL every season at this stage of the build.

Well if it’s believed Silva is going the other way I don’t see the reason to make out Silva can do a job for us when he clearly isn’t in puels plans
