Mitrovic

I’d take him for £20 mil or so, but he’s been so hit and miss first with newcastle and now with fulham, but his strength could be good partnering Vardy in a 2 man attack?

Thoughts?

We've consistently struggled with his type of striker in our team. Give it to him in the box and he'll score, but we would probably be firing wayward crosses into him constantly

Agreed. Would rather we asked Andy Lochhead to get himself fit - he would probably be more mobile, even at 78 YOA.

Great alternative option to have imo. However can’t see him coming here as he won’t be guaranteed to start every week. However if the price is right I would be all up for this.

Another option for a target man who I seriously hope we look at would be Sebastien Haller from Frankfurt. The guys a unit. He’s 6 foot 4, plays in a team at Frankfurt that play very similar to how we do now. Great link up play & his stats speak for themself.

27 games in the bundersliga this season he’s got 14 goals & 9 assists. 9 games in the europa league, he’s got 5 goals & 3 assists. Some stats that, let alone the fact he scored 1 goal in every 2 games whilst in the eredivise playing 82 games, scoring 41.

He’s only 24 years old too so meets our recruitment policy of signing young players.

If we wanted a big striker we should try and get Rondon.

Should have signed him a couple of years ago instead of Slimani. Would have been half the price too.

Absolutely no value in Rondon, they want about £15-20m for him and he's in his 30's

He's 29 but I take your point.

So much rather buy youth with pace and pressing energy that fits our style rather than bringing in the ageing awkward big man routine which has, well never really worked for us since we started winning things and scoring goals from open play.

This, would be a perfect addition

It's an absolute no for me dawg. He's ****ing bobbins. Has had a bit of a purple patch this year as Fulham's main outlet.

People hated Slimani because he can't trap a ball, he can't pass a  ball, he can't turn on a ball, he can't dribble a ball, he can basically just push people and head it.

That's exactly what Mitrovic is. He wouldn't suit us in the ****ing slightest.

We basically need to find  a Vardy clone to replace him, someone fast that's great on the shoulder. I know everyone's been obsessed with Plan B for ages but it's such a stupidly out dated concept. Where's Liverpool's 6ft 2 big lump or Man City's? Decent teams don't need some giant slow battering ram up front to win headers and flick ons in panic mode, it's just dumb.

No thanks to Mitrovic. A better version of Slimani, but it is difficult to see how he would fit in with style Rodgers plays. It's impressive his effort for Fulham this season, noticeable recently in game v Watford. However, lacks sufficientpace and control to justify expenditure. Regarding Rondon - I wanted him before this season started as I thought he would be a better fit under Puel to support the (then) isolated Vardy. However, given his age and likely price _ I understand he has a year on contract and £16m release - there is better value in other strikers now

"Give iheanacho a chance!" 1 goal

"Mitrovic is useless" 10 goals

In our home game against Fulham, Mitrovic had one chance - cross into the box, good header and a great save from Kasper. Imagine what Iheanacho would have done!
