He seems to have some scrap in him that a lot of the others are missing. But I don't know if he looks good because everyone else has failed. This is a seriously good Australian bowling unit . I would say that Burns has applied himself well and also enjoyed some good fortune in 2 of the 4 tests to date ; he looks a colossus alongside Jennings, Roy and to a lesser extent Denly
cambridgefox Posted 6 September 2019 Posted 6 September 2019 Ali.Who most slag off on here.Dropped early doors, absolute dolly, but his timing tonight in the T20 is a joy to watch. No I’m not saying recall.

UniFox21 Posted 7 September 2019 Posted 7 September 2019 Can those planes above old Trafford please fook off
ScouseFox Posted 7 September 2019 Posted 7 September 2019 god we need to avoid the follow on or we are completely dead
martyn Posted 7 September 2019 Posted 7 September 2019 On TMS they're going on as if the follow on wouldn't be enforced. Seems crazy to me that they wouldn't. If England are 200+ behind, there is no circumstance in which Australia would be in danger of losing the game. Can just have Lyon bowling all day from one end and rotate the seamers if they're worried about fatigue.
yorkie1999 Posted 7 September 2019 Posted 7 September 2019 Wonder if they actually realise that if they lose this, there's no point in the 5th test.
Bobby Hundreds Posted 7 September 2019 Posted 7 September 2019 Incredible batting this. What are we trying to achieve?
Voll Blau Posted 7 September 2019 Posted 7 September 2019 Thought Archer was smarter than that with the bat. Ridiculous shot.

Voll Blau Posted 7 September 2019 Posted 7 September 2019 Glad it's gone, but actually don't think that was a bad review. Looked closer than Hawkeye made it out I thought.
TheSomersetFox Posted 7 September 2019 Posted 7 September 2019 Surprised that everyone in the comm box seems so certain the Aussies wouldn't enforce the follow on. There's very little chance we bat out 5 sessions if they do.
Finnegan Posted 7 September 2019 Posted 7 September 2019 Don't they kinda NEED the follow on to avoid a draw?
leicsmac Posted 7 September 2019 Posted 7 September 2019 5 minutes ago, Finnegan said: Don't they kinda NEED the follow on to avoid a draw? Depends. If they bowl England out 15 minutes after lunch but England have made it below a 200 deficit, then Aus could attempt to swing the bat at it for 40 overs, put on somewhere around 200 and then put England back in with ten overs to go today, leaving them a little over a day to bowl England out. Which is entirely possible.
Finnegan Posted 7 September 2019 Posted 7 September 2019 Are the odds currently higher for an Aus win or a draw?

leicsmac Posted 7 September 2019 Posted 7 September 2019 3 minutes ago, Finnegan said: Are the odds currently higher for an Aus win or a draw? Aus win marginally more likely than a draw according to the bookies.
ScouseFox Posted 7 September 2019 Posted 7 September 2019 aus are slight fav. as long as we don’t follow on surely we’ll be ok? they’ll surely be a bit scared to declare on anything even unrealistically get-able and we’ll be able to bat out a draw. maybe.
Bobby Hundreds Posted 7 September 2019 Posted 7 September 2019 I wouldn’t want to chase 80 on this pitch. That Broad wicket ball was disgusting.
