RowlattsFox Posted 6 September 2019 Posted 6 September 2019 I don't know why but Cricket is a great sport to listen to people talking about, I've spent 2 hours this morning listening to TMS and there hasn't been a ball bowled Great to hear Freddie Flintoff talking about cricket and hearing McGrath and Vaughan talking about 2005.

Weird you've written this Me and my mate just text each other agreeing listening to Gower, Warne, Hussein and Atherton is actually better than the action. Same with TMS I imagine, don't think any other sport can pull it off.
ealingfox Posted 6 September 2019 Posted 6 September 2019 Great batting by Rain and Cloud to get us through the morning session. Hope to see them again in this innings.

RonnieTodger Posted 6 September 2019 Posted 6 September 2019 Yeah I never really got into cricket until the 2009 series, but it was the Sky coverage that drew me to it as much as the action. Warne and Bumble just talking shite for ages, I loved it. Now I have to listen to TMS just for the chat when working.
David Guiza Posted 6 September 2019 Posted 6 September 2019 And the decision to drop Woakes continues to look more and more ridiculous.
Crinklyfox Posted 6 September 2019 Posted 6 September 2019 Wicket in the second over not good for setting the tone for the day.
EastAnglianFox Posted 6 September 2019 Posted 6 September 2019 On the positive it does look a good pitch for scoring relatively quickly, if a Bairstow or Buttler finally feel like turning up they could dig us out of a hole.

ScouseFox Posted 6 September 2019 Posted 6 September 2019 this is going *reasonably* well all things considered. if we get to the last test with a chance to win the ashes when we have played well for about 2/3 sessions in the whole summer it would be remarkable.
Lionator Posted 6 September 2019 Posted 6 September 2019 Just got tickets for the last day for £25. Seems like it'll get to that stage (touches wood) and the weather is looking good.
leicsmac Posted 6 September 2019 Posted 6 September 2019 Away from the Test for a moment, Malinga takes four wickets in four balls (again) in his final T20 International. I still maintain his action is hugely suspect, but that's some going.
EastAnglianFox Posted 6 September 2019 Posted 6 September 2019 Lyon getting cheered every time he catches the ball then absolutely hammered when he just dropped it Something brilliantly ruthless about an English cricket crowd that comes through more than any other sport I reckon.

Ours are often good humoured though, what about Bay 13 in Melbourne?, talk about ruthless.

UniFox21 Posted 6 September 2019 Posted 6 September 2019 Doing so well, they both just needed to sit in until tomorrow
Bobby Hundreds Posted 6 September 2019 Posted 6 September 2019 That Root wicket certainly looked down to mental fatigue.
EastAnglianFox Posted 6 September 2019 Posted 6 September 2019 They both started to look very nervy in the last half hour or so for some reason. Saying that Hazlewood and Cummins have bowled some brilliant stuff
