Nothing is making sense.
🦊🦊🦊 Posted 8 September 2019 Posted 8 September 2019 If we survive today we are absolutely winning at the Oval
Md9 Posted 8 September 2019 Posted 8 September 2019 Looks like stokes needs to do it all again 🙈 would love to see it but can’t this time

Still a mountain left to climb like.
Guest Manini Posted 8 September 2019 Posted 8 September 2019 Yeah this is done. Had a glimmer of hope after the first hour but the last 40 minutes has ruined it.
leicsmac Posted 8 September 2019 Posted 8 September 2019 Perhaps it's an affront to decency, but I'm not sure why Stokes walked there. The umpire hadn't given him - at least wait for that or wait for the Aus review when the stakes are this high.

Great sportsmanship, similar to the bonus runs in the World Cup final - should be applauded more when the stakes are this high.

Oh yeah, there's no denying it should be applauded as great sportsmanship, but unless a single act is truly, truly majestic in its scope history doesn't tend to remember great "sportspeople" - only those who won. 24 minutes ago, Spiritwalker said: The Aussies would have reviewed. No doubt - Paine in particular was convinced - but I still think Stokes should have stood his ground and made Paine make that choice.

Awful this, hate losing to Australia but even worse at home.
David Guiza Posted 8 September 2019 Posted 8 September 2019 Just noticed it's due to be chucking it down tomorrow. Missing our best player again.

I don't think England can complain about luck after some of the crazy things that have happened this summer.
EastAnglianFox Posted 8 September 2019 Posted 8 September 2019 That new old ball only looks about 20 overs old ffs
Corky Posted 8 September 2019 Posted 8 September 2019 Only one player (Roy) could've done a bit more about his dismissal so at least they haven't thrown wickets away this innings. Let's hope we don't lose the series.
EastAnglianFox Posted 8 September 2019 Posted 8 September 2019 It doesn't sit right with me this whole being able to change a ball, I know its not a new thing and every side has to deal with it but its so so harsh on the batsmen wh have pretty much got to get used to how a completely different ball plays...this one is doing absolutely everything
katieakita Posted 8 September 2019 Posted 8 September 2019 Fvck me is Stevie Wonder the 3rd Umpire ffs
Corky Posted 8 September 2019 Posted 8 September 2019 That was incredible. If it hadn't hit him outside the line he would've given it out when he'd clearly hit it.
when_you're_smiling Posted 8 September 2019 Posted 8 September 2019 Well.....at least it ate up five minutes.
katieakita Posted 8 September 2019 Posted 8 September 2019 Was really scary on what basis he thought there was no clear evidence he had hit it the seam of the ball moved around 90 degrees
leicsmac Posted 8 September 2019 Posted 8 September 2019 We nearly had a full-scale riot on our hands there.
