This years lap of honour

Ground will be nearly half empty if the last few games are owt to go by. They pay their money, they're entitled to go when they want blah blah blah...

Is it too much to ask people not to leave early (I appreciate last years fiasco wasn't the fault of the fans) ??

It will have extra poignance this season given what's happened.

If people need to be told to stay for this, then they are shite supporters.

Use CCTV to catch the fans that leave early and cancel their 2019/20 season tickets.

?

I meant the 1st bit though

Should be both a positive and emotional one. Last year I thought tannoy man was going to read out our names for the players.

With the positivity surrounding the new manager, the known departing legends, the hopefully not departing stars, the ongoing respect for Vichai and (maybe with a song of his own) show of support for Top, there's plenty of angles.

Last year I was trying to read Schmeichels body language, convinced he'd be approached in the summer. This time I'll be looking like a Marty Feldman impersonator as I try to follow Maguire, Chilwell, Ricardo and Tielemans all at once!

I know he's injured right now but let's not forget Kingy either. If he's fit by July he may well be sold on and we'll not see him here again.

Then again John Craven is contributing a riveting feature on otter breeding numbers in Country File, the choice is entirely yours.

Give everyone a big round of applause this season whatever the result. Given the tragic circumstances, anything this season was a bonus. We've pulled together and will still finish in a very respectable position.

With Rodgers at the helm and some strong performances of late, we are definitely heading in the right direction.

Let's give them the credit and be back raring to go again come August :scarf:

Hope people stay but many won't.

The timing makes it worse, at 5pm on a Sunday you want to be at home, especially if you have work the next day.

No doubt what soever that people will stay for the lap of honour.

I think the club are trying to encourage people to stay this year as well. The post they put out yesterday saying "Supporters are invited to celebrate two distinguised lcfc careers on Sunday..." says to me they'd like everyone to give them a good send off after the game.

Like everyone says its a personal choice but I have never once left a game early, especially not the last game of the season where we can show our appreciation to all those involved in the club.

Big one this year for Simpson and Shinji and could be (but hopefully not) the last time we get to see Youri as well so let's show them what they mean to us.

Ha you have to laugh! Stay in your seat and THEN you get the freebies! "That will teach that treacherous lot from leaving early!"

I think they just don't realise that now that we are playing good football again fans are excited about the team again. Puel did a lot of good, but he also killed the atmosphere at home.

Can't see why the players families have to do the lap of appreciation. I for one wont be staying.

Cheer up ?

I'll definitely hang around for this.

It is the last game of an emotional season. Chance for players and fans to mutually appreciate each other. It's probably half an hour tops!

unfortunately I cannot be there due to holidays booked long before all the fixture swapping etc but my thoughts will be with the lads and top. I sincerely hope that Shinji and the others that are leaving the fold will get a proper send off that will also show the rest that LCFC is a great place to ply their trade

I've got a 145 mile drive home afterwards and work the next day.

I'll be staying until all of the players, management and Top (and family) have left the pitch.

Players To Thank Fans With Lap Of Appreciation & Crowd Giveaway On Sunday
Leicester City players will thank the Blue Army for their fantastic support this season with a lap of appreciation after the Chelsea game at King Power Stadium on Sunday 12 May (3pm GMT kick-off).

- Leicester City players will thank supporters with lap of appreciation after the match against Chelsea
- Foxes host the Blues on Sunday 12 May (3pm GMT kick-off)
- The players will return to the pitch after going into the dressing room at full-time
- There are special giveaways for supporters who remain in their seats for the lap of appreciation

Vice-Chairman, Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha, the players and First Team staff will be joined by their families post-match to show their appreciation for the outstanding support of Foxes fans this season, while there will also be a number of giveaways up for grabs.

After the final whistle, foam balls will be launched into the crowd which can be redeemed by the lucky few supporters who catch them for one of a number of prizes, depending on the colour of the ball, in the Foxes Fanstore.

To ensure the lap of appreciation can take place, and for the safety of players and their young families, the Club kindly asks supporters to remain in their seats and keep off the pitch and the perimeter track.

Pre-match activity on Sunday includes the 39th edition of Club Ambassador Alan Birchenall’s annual End of Season Run, which this year will be supporting the Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha Foundation, renamed in memory of the Club’s late Chairman. Click HERE for more information, including details of how to donate.

There will also be a fun Fan Village ahead of the match for supporters to enjoy a host of activities, as well as three Photo Mosaic Walls located around the stadium, allowing fans to add their own images to a special design.
