Harry to Man City!!!

Being reported in the daily mail (on my phone so cant copy link) that they want Maguire and would take 90M! to buy him.

Probably just made up paper talk and is the daily mail after all. And if he did do we think he would actually play or end up like Mahrez. For 90M you would expect so.

Probably won't happen but thoughts anyway please folks.

Can’t see it happening personally. They’ve hoarded enough players to last for a few years and should hopefully have a transfer embargo placed on them soon anyway. If UEFA and the PL had any balls. Which they don’t.

I adore Harry but I'd sell him in a heart beat for that price.

Football is obscene. Beautiful.  But obscene.

Hoping in a way this has some truth. With only man c in for Mahrez we had little to bargain with. Man u and man c in for mags means we get a higher fee.

Rather two teams chasing him than one.

I’m actually not bothered at all. Vastly overrated and I’d be happy to just be left with the CB we’ve got. I’d say yes to city, and then I’d ask for a straight swap for Mahrez.

I'd sell him for just over half of that, that could be the problem though. I think we will price him out of any move. I think the money generated by Maguire, even at £50m+ would be better served improving the rest of the team. But I suppose the club know what they're doing, so let's wait and see. It's not a bad position to be in is it? What a few years he's had.

Exactly mate, take the 50m and put it into the areas that need it.

get in tielemans, a back up playmaker and some quality wide options ie Bowen and James - or even the more “luxury” names we have been linked with.

I suspect soyuncu and benkovic will be our starting centre backs next season which im quite happy with. Morgan can be backup for another season. Then maybe a cheap short term back up option or a young lad to come in and learn - Ashley Williams is surplus at Everton and would cost hardly anything, Brendan knows him from his time at Swansea and would be a decent old head to have around the club as a squad player.

Hull get a lump of any fee as a sell on . I think 20% reported .

That would still leave us with 72 million

I dont think its 20% anyway more like 5%

Seriously Ashley Williams? lol

you haven’t even mentioned our best centre back this season, Evans

£90m is the bullshit figure we put on him, a bit like us wanting similar for Mahrez. They won't pay that, they'd pay around the £50-£60m, which is still more than enough IMO.

Don’t know where this has come from but I really can’t see Pep wanting him especially not at that price, I do like Maguire but I doubt we’d turn down anything north of 60 mil

I’d be very surprised given Pep was vocal on the amazon documentary how Man City target Maguire’s lack of pace when playing us

He also claimed after not getting Mahrez in the January they didn't want him. Arsen wenger sad not to worry about Heskey's left foot.

Oh and LVG claimed they had a huge file on us and new everything about us. So we smashed them 5-3.

Who was the player Pearson claimed we was not after the week before we signed him.

Maguire is our best asset that we could sell and fund 2-3 players to improve the side. Love the big cvnt but we can manage without him.

Love it how everyone wants to sell our England starting centre half.

keep this group together for one more year ? See where we are...:brendan_still:

People (hi) want to spend the money on Tielemans.

Love Harry but 90m would be incredible business if this was true. Just the timing is odd, man city are always linked with one of our players in a week leading up to us playing them. Used to happen with mahrez the last couple of years. Throw into the mix that we would then take Burnleys cb (who they play today) then think it's BS.

Highly doubt there's any truth in this.

I like Maguire. I'd certainly like to keep him for next season, but every player has their price; you couldn't refuse 90m for any player really, other than Messi.

This would be a recipe for disasters!

One has been here for a season and struggles to make the squad.

The other one appears to have Ronnie Corbett's hamstrings!
