So someone made the point last week about cliched phrases in the media such as "Playing the [insert name of club] way" the other week, that phrase inparticular has been around for years.

With the emergence of clubs bringing in club legends to manage albeit permanently or in the interim the latest one is "It's in [insert name of a club legend]'s DNA" when talking hand in hand about the connection between the club and person.

What do these things even mean.

Means nothing. None of our best ever managers were associated with the club before they managed it. I'm sure it is the case for most clubs bar Liverpool really.

Of course they'll have a greater affinity if they've played for or supported the club but ultimately it's your coaching and how you work with the players that is what matters. Chris Wilder has done really well at Sheffield United because he's got innovative tactics and a strong leadership style, the fact he follows the club is a bonus for the fans.

The only one I know that was actually about right was with arsenal who used to play with a rigid well disciplined back four, as demonstrated on the full monty!

Arsenal are still a bigger danger to our top four ambitions than Man City.

No way do Man City not finish top four, there are two available spots left. Leicester, Chelsea, Tottenham, Man Utd are the likely two of four but you can't write off Wolves and Arsenal just yet.

Actually I think you can write off Arsenal.  The gap is 17 points with 63 to play for.  Unless we collapse spectacularly and therefore let Spurs and United in anyway, there's no way Arsenal can bridge that.

In terms of points, they are actually closer to Watford than they are to us.

Still need to pot 3 reds and 3 blacks to make the frame safe.

if they had won today it would be 14pts behind us, the same as Man Utd. They would still only be 1pt behind Tottenham and only a fool is completely writing off Man Utd and Tottenham of having no chance of catching us.

Arsenal losing today is probably the best result for us.

What actually happened with this? Did seem a little odd.

Kean came on as a sub.

Got subbed off about 20mins later.

Ferguson said in the post-match interview that he just did it to kill time and he only had a lot of strikers on the bench so had to hook someone.

Or a John Virgo trick shot

Just need Ted Lowe to be commentating ‘ and the young man from Gabon is about to take the penalty....and he’s missed it’. Ray Reardon is in the background, grinning in a Dracula sort of way
