Chrysalis Posted 28 December 2019 Posted 28 December 2019 (edited) 1 hour ago, Gerard said: I don't think anyone is panicking just yet about us dropping out the top four but some of us were amazed why people were cheering on Wolves to beat Man City. Wolves beating Man City lessens our chances of CL football. If you look at the implied chances of top four on Betfair: Liverpool 100% (or near as damn it) Man City 97.5% Leicester 73.5% (at our peak we were 88.5%) Chelsea 49% ---------------------------------------- Spurs 43% Man Utd 18.5% Wolves 8.5% Arsenal 5% The rest between them 5% On those numbers Liverpool and Man City are near certainties to finish top four so any Leicester fan who has a grip on the situation knows our rivals for top four aren't the supposed two best teams in the division but Chelsea, Tottenham, Man Utd, Wolves and Arsenal. Indeed our odds of making the top 4 are set at a level where its considered a done deal. They have got a bit worse today since right after our game but we still miles ahead of the teams below us. Leics 1/6 Chelsea 4/5 Rest of teams are above 1/1. Essentially we will either recover and get similar form to what we had first half of season, winning most of bottom 14 games, and maybe getting a win vs chelsea or spurs. If that happens we get top 4. Or we will collapse, and lose top 4, a collapse is possible, its happened in other seasons, it depends on the mental state of the players. Spurs are similar to us at the moment, they beating bottom 14 teams, but losing their big games, so if we maintain our existing PPG, they wont catch us. Chelsea are in bigger dire straights, whilst we lost to the best 2 teams, they been losing to mid and lower table teams and are tumbling. You are bang on that a Man City win vs Wolves would have been good for us. Although us staying second will help the mental state of the players as well. So the outlook is still a positive one. Guest seanfox778 Posted 28 December 2019 Posted 28 December 2019 Martin Tyler keeps saying Sergio Rico, that's the West Ham goalie isn't it? The Bournemouth player is Diego Rico

Sunbury Fox Posted 28 December 2019 Posted 28 December 2019 Aaron Mooy playing really well for Brighton again. Enjoy watching them play under Potter.
TheUltimateWinner Posted 28 December 2019 Posted 28 December 2019 Wouldn’t it be nice if we had referees who were accountable, referees who were human and actually explained to the paying fan their decision making to better educate us and make football better because of that. But no, instead in this country we have arrogant dickheads... 1

spacemunky Posted 28 December 2019 Posted 28 December 2019 That was some epic defending there on Burn's goal.
StanSP Posted 28 December 2019 Posted 28 December 2019 Don't think that should be disallowed. Burn's not involved in the first phase of play is he? Also looked like only his arm is offside?

UniFox21 Posted 28 December 2019 Posted 28 December 2019 "Brighton have had some very good VAR calls" Such a stupid comment from Martin Tyler, isn't a 'good' call it's the rules VAR is implementing 1
Popular Post foxfanazer Posted 28 December 2019 Popular Post Posted 28 December 2019 I don't believe this is what VAR was brought in for. Premier league has murdered it 7
adam Posted 28 December 2019 Posted 28 December 2019 Disgrace again. How is that disallowed. There was nothing there to say he was definately offside. The advantage has to go to the attacking side. The VAR muppet has guessed at that
Guest seanfox778 Posted 28 December 2019 Posted 28 December 2019 First time I've really seen Jahanbakhsh, looks a pretty neat player based on this game.
foxfanazer Posted 28 December 2019 Posted 28 December 2019 It's as if the officials themselves are anti VAR so they're ballsing it up deliberately to get rid of it
adam Posted 28 December 2019 Posted 28 December 2019 Noticed we have Atkinson as our VAR ref today! Problems there.
