They have to be. Otherwise fixture pile up gets ridiculous. Man City have a game to reschedule for the league cuo final too, plus they are in Europe. Perfect for us as Man City don't get a break.

But they have to - the premier league said clubs have to abide by the break - Klopp said so 😄

on a more serious note - their playing squad won’t get the down time that the others have but then again, they have the biggest squad so who cares ....

Bit of a breeze & the whole country comes to a feckin standstill.

Tbf West Ham fans have a distance to travel. Trains are running limited services and speed restricted. Probably take about 6 hours to get there today.

At the moment. Wouldn't be surprised that the weather's coming from the west and it's calmer on the east side. Even so... We need a report from Sheff_ Fox, or whatever he's called.

I live about 20 miles away from Sheffield and it's battering it down here with high winds but Manchester could be worse. The weather obviously differs despite the relatively small distance. In fact I would guess it's worse in Manchester.

They'd have probably already started their journey before the decision to postpone was made.

In Sheff, like being in a car wash. Absolutely thrashing it down.

Be surprised if its not called off tbh.

Forecast to get worse, any game would be a complete lottery.

Yeah and they've got to get back.

Considering an Everton fan died on his way to the KP in 2004 because of high winds, something which our club marks every year to the family, I find some of the comments about the postponement of the game today due to the storm a bit crass, tbh.

And the roof blowing off the holiday inn lucky on one was injured or worse then as well.

It's just absolutely bucketed down over our house. If that's going north and hits during this 1st game, theres no way they can play in it. Will have to take players off the pitch at least.

Away end absolutely empty. Assume if this wasn't on TV it probably wouldn't be happening

How many there?

Fair play to those who travelled that distance .

Central 2 blocks are filled, another mostly filled then rest fairly sparse. What you'd expect from a midweek game tbh

You've got to say Ancelotti's made a very good start at Everton. They've been in good form under him that's largely gone under the radar because of the Liverpool and Newcastle embarrassments. Genuine top 4 candidates at this rate.

They've just had a very kind run of fixtures.

Their next seven games are:

Arsenal (A)

Man Utd (H)

Chelsea (A)

Liverpool (H)

Norwich (A)

Leicester (H)

Tottenham (A)

We'll see how good they are after that lot.

Wonder if Man City should've held fire on cancelling

There was a squall line (where the wind spikes and it really pees it down)  between 11 and 12 there ....I think it went through leics around 2pm. Maybe they over reacted to that ?  Anyway, authorities will always err on the side of caution in these situations ....perhaps the number of West Ham travelling fans (compared to Bournemouth) also made a difference ......they would have been able to turn around and get back to London before that squall gets here .....plus the trains up the west coast main line from Euston are buggered .....
