Wasn't expected Ndidi AND Hamza to play.

Not sure about this team, to be honest. Like some of you have said, not a massive fan of Madders out wide.

Madders isn't out wide...it's how it looks On paper...He will roam/drift...

          Ndidi  Choudhury

                 Youri

    Perez               Maddison

                 Vardy

or

         Youri     Choudhury

              Maddison

           Perez    Vardy

No Gray at all. Did something happen?

No gray is good I think, he needs to improve and be told so.

I think we are playing the diamond as it’s the only plausible reason we’ve left Albrighton out, not included Gray and have Praet on the bench. Remember that versus Stoke neither Barnes nor Gray travelled as to quote Rodgers “we weren’t playing any wingers.”

Lets see how this pans out!

Think we’re giving them too much respect playing 2 CDM’s. We did the same against Chelsea last game of the season when they were there to be beaten.

I just hope it’s not Maddison on the left of a 4-3-3. If Brendan wants us to play a diamond, then play the diamond. Maddison could easily be nullified by Wolves if he’s stuck out wide.

Today's world players will interchange between the 2...

It's this forum that static..they still live in the 90s...

You have to put players down on paper,it doesn't mean they stay wide, or only inside....both Tieleman,Maddison have made assists with crosses from the flanks, but also through midfield..

Ndidi has played wide then comes in according to play..Choudry...ditto.

Both of those holdback,or are to be found attacking oppos- box. There is no fixed position...Jesus even Vardy chases in the corners, but he ain't a winger, but might cross for Perez & visa-versa!!!

The lineup looks good and I suspect that Hamza's role will be more of a shuttler, rather than a creator. Not only will he be expected to carry the ball, he'll also be tasked with winning the ball high up the pitch. We all know Brendan loves his teams to press high and seeing as we're at home, he'll want nothing but balls deep action and intensity.

I agree, Wilf to cover the back line and Hamza to bite at Neves and Moutinho every time they get the ball as it's where Wolves play from.

Um. Diamond?

Did we not play the entire pre season 433?

Its either 433 with two of the midfielders being defensive and Maddison on the "wing" or its a diamond.

Either way, bit disappointed tbh. Feels like giving them a bit too much respect having Hamza and Wilf tbf.

Oh well COYB

Yep totally agree. For me the only teams in the league we should be playing two CDM’s against is Man City, Liverpool and maybe Spurs!
