KrefelderFox666 Posted 20 September 2019 Posted 20 September 2019 I still have those, well the white and yellow one. Brought them out a couple of years back and used them to play 5 a side regular. Love those shirts. The white one has Cottee and 27 on the back
Carl the Llama Posted 20 September 2019 Posted 20 September 2019 The blue one's the first City shirt I owned iirc.
RoboFox Posted 20 September 2019 Posted 20 September 2019 Real talk, though: Did ANY other club have their own brand of sportswear? I can't think of one. Iconic. So f**king cool. Wish our casual wear was still under the Fox Leisure brand, rather than Fox and Crop.

huggybear Posted 20 September 2019 Posted 20 September 2019 Still got mine, still fits, and wore it last weekend to a 90s weekend at skeggy. Great memories
CosbehFox Posted 20 September 2019 Posted 20 September 2019 Speaks volumes for the marketing department at our club that they go with the yellow rather than the white. The White was iconic for the Wimbledon semi-final.

Oh yeah, the old weren't great quality, but that's one of our best looking shirts ever, deserves a retro remake.
Tuna Posted 20 September 2019 Posted 20 September 2019 Still got my 1995-96 season gold away Fox Leisure Jersey!

I think Fox Leisure was made by Mitre, the iconic green keeper kit was worn by several other clubs during the period

The sleeves aren't big enough and the neck holes are too big on the replicas, still a nice idea by the club

Jordan Posted 20 September 2019 Posted 20 September 2019 I had the 1999-2001--it was my first ever football shirt. I actually get a little wistful thinking about how I used to clean the felt off the giant Walkers logo that wouldn't come off in the wash by hand. The 1997-99 shirt is a real classic, and it looks superb in a modern fit. But to get the real retro look for these, you need to go big and have gigantic sleeves flapping all around. Tony Cottee used to look like he was wearing a squirrel suit.

RowlattsFox Posted 20 September 2019 Posted 20 September 2019 Definitely feel old now that kits I own are being referred to as retro.
Samilktray Posted 20 September 2019 Posted 20 September 2019 I don't care how iconic they are, those kits look absolutely dogshit in those promo pictures what have they done to the necks on them

That shirt had a tight collar. Some of the players cut the bit in the middle.
