Congratulations on a fantastic achievement. 300 games is no joke and he's been here through our best ever period as a club.

It will be interesting to see what he does at the end of the season. Will he retire or will he go down a league (or even to the USA) for one last swansong? He has a degree in Business Management I believe and it wouldn't surprise me if he ends up working for the club either as a coach or possibly even on the commercial side of things.

I even wonder if he's interested in being a coach or manager? Sadly there isn't enough representation for black players in management, but with the way the Leicester City family is setup, I could see him being given a shot as development squad or even U21 coach. A good player doesn't make for a good manager but everyone says he's a great leader and that's a great start.

Really hope he doesn't drop down a division,  retire at the top please wes.

I’ve got to put my hands up here and be honest, when we signed him I was a little critical, I knew we were building towards promotion and I thought all Wes was capable of was a decent championship/league 1 career and would never be fast enough or good enough for premier league football. How wrong I was! 300 games later and a premier league winners medal as well as captaining us in the champions league I’ve never been happier to be wrong!

The man's staying power is remarkable too - Just when you think he's fading away as a part of our setup something happens to show he's still got it. Having him come out of deep freeze to score in back to back games last year, one a late winner when we were down to 10 men and the other a Puskas-worthy backheel?!? We almost had a similar "WTF Wes" moment with his one-two against Luton this year.

He's put in some of the best individual defensive performances an LCFC player has ever mustered, come up with some crucial goals, captained us to the Premier League title and the quarters of the Champions League, and all from being a squad addition some of us questioned the merits of at the time of signing.

Legend. I mean, there's not much else to say.

Regardless of whether it was the right sub or not yesterday, Wes Morgan is guaranteed a broken liver whenever walks into a bar in this city for the rest of his life.

PS - Can we please have Captain Morgan and Admiral Muskwe on the same pitch before he retires please? We could build a team of pirates.

Had some doubts when we signed him.

These disappeared when he captained us to the Championship.

Had some doubts in his first PL season.

These disappeared when he captained us to the Premier League.

Had some doubts last season.

He's still here, still plays a big role in the dressing room (and to a lesser extent on the field) and we should be grateful for all he's done for us.

Million quid very very well spent.

Even if it is, he's on 302 by our stats

Guess somewhere along the line something's gone wrong for someone lol

He can get another 50 appearances yet if he is content at seeing out games for the last 10 minutes.

It is a Rodgers masterstroke, 10 mins for a fresh Wes at the end of a game, against tired strikers.

Priceless

50 appearances is like 2 seasons which would take him to 37/38. Thats a long time to ask, personally can't see him staying beyond this year or a final year as a player/coach on the new training ground

We are going to have plenty of players next season with no CL experience, I think he will decide to stay to help them.

But we also have a fair few who have played in the CL.

Kasper, Evans, Ndidi, Youri and Vardy all having played in it. Barnes and Chilwell also having an appearance or two under their belt.  That's 7 of our starting 11 having played in the competition before

Edit: Forgot Ricardo as well, so that's 8.

Big up to Big Wes.:appl::appl:

Like many others I wondered why we had wasted good money on a Forest clogger.

So glad to have been proven completely wrong. The man is a mountain and legend. Captain fantastic. Never missed a single minute of the championship season. Himself and Huth the best centre back pairing in the league.

Always conducted himself with class and dignity.

Hope he stays at the club in some sort of coaching or mentoring capacity.  It is obvious that our direction is that of youth development (either in house or bought in) and someone with his experience, both on and off the field would be invaluable as part of the backroom staff as an example of what it means to be a leader and a professional.

I know he has several business interests outside of football but hopefully he can be tempted to stick around the club for a bit yet, even if not on a playing contract.

Whatever he decides to do though I wish him nothing but success in his chosen path
