Typical, away on holiday and unable to watch the game. All I can hope for is to see Match of the day highlights upon my return on Sunday.

Well done city keep up the hard work.

At least you're back in time to watch MOTD, I'm away for 2 weeks, next match record breaking all time winning margin and still probably going to miss it. Mark my words!

Has anyone won a game before with two players scoring a hat trick ?

Someone have a negative input. This doesn't feel right. I need a lie down

Saints have got Man City next so the record will probably be broken next match.

It’s true though, you don’t get 9-0 games unless one side is abject and the other side is excellent.

Incredible achievement to knock in 9 goals. The season we went up we scored 9 goals between 4 October and 31 January. I can’t remember half the goals from tonight ffs. Incredible.

I'd say to score 9 in a pouring rain like we just did is a greater feat. The ball is faster on a wet pitch but also much less predictable, this makes the slaughter of Saints even more extraordinary to me. Besides the game is faster now than it was then in 1994.

In 1980? City beat Carlisle 6-0 at Filbo, with Lineker and Lynex hitting three each.
