urban.spaceman Posted 25 October 2019 Author Posted 25 October 2019 Southampton would have won that if they'd scored a penalty and converted a try.

Corky Posted 25 October 2019 Posted 25 October 2019 The worst thing Southampton did was gift Tielemans that chance at 1-0. If the game had stayed 1-0 for a while they could've re-grouped and worked hard yet the heads just went when Perez put in the third. Going down to ten men doesn't mean you cave in. Look at how they defended at our place with ten in January- bodies on the line, rigid formation, packing the box (I know they had a lead to protect) but you make the game as tough as possible. The fans who stayed kept singing and fair play for that. They were seriously let down by the players. More worringly, the players looked like they'd given up. Of course it was an extreme score but it had the look of Ranieri's final days with us.

Don't know how its that low due to the penalty and Tielemens being clear cut chances but heyho Hahahaa I was joking, no idea what it was. Surely got to be 5-6 as a lot of those goals were piss easy

TheSomersetFox Posted 25 October 2019 Posted 25 October 2019 How good is it being able to sit with our feet up all weekend off the back of that as well. Just gonna chill while we become every football hipster in Europe's favorite side again

Mendi Posted 25 October 2019 Posted 25 October 2019 Rain fell, winds swirled, and as the heavens opened over St Mary’s, Leicester blew Southampton away with a performance to make their Boss smile from above. Sunday marks one year since the death of Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha and, for all the displays of remembrance this week, few will be as fitting as this 9-0 win by Brendan Rodgers’ side I had to ask my brother, if this was true that 9 goals were scored.

fazzyfox Posted 25 October 2019 Posted 25 October 2019 It looked like a training session for much of the game but that says a lot for the way they train with a ruthlessness, a positivity, every pass improving the situation, movement to bring options, always on the front foot. Brilliant attitude, particularly between second and third goals, turning the screw even further, not letting up, at 2-0 if the ten men see out the next part of the game they might fancy regrouping and fighting for something but they couldn't come up for air.

Long Eaton Fox Posted 25 October 2019 Posted 25 October 2019 I'm scared we've used up all of our brownie points for the season then realised what an amazing team we have and can we do it every week
HankMarvin Posted 25 October 2019 Posted 25 October 2019 This was Southampton’s biggest ever defeat as an English league side in all competitions in their history. Leicester recorded the joint-largest ever margin of victory in Premier League history, alongside Manchester United’s 9-0 win over Ipswich at Old Trafford in March 1995. Leicester recorded the biggest-ever victory by an away side in an English top-flight league match in the 131-year history of the Football League. Leicester became only the second team in Premier League history to establish a five-goal lead in the first half of an away game in the competition, after Manchester City against Burnley in April 2010 (also 5-0). Leicester have also become only the second side in Premier League history to have two players score a hat-trick in the same game (Perez and Vardy), after Arsenal in May 2003 - also against Southampton (Pennant and Pires).
DerbyshireFox Posted 25 October 2019 Posted 25 October 2019 I still can’t believe it! I’m soaked through but I’m so proud. The football was sensational. Southampton were truly woeful, big props to their fans who stayed and sang most of the second half, their players did not deserve it. That was a once in a lifetime result. Drink it in ladies and gents, this is a special team. Vichai can rest soundly tonight, that was for you boss

Paninistickers Posted 25 October 2019 Posted 25 October 2019 Very interesting insight that Chilwell and, I think maddison, told Neville before the game that they fancied a 3-0 win. Very very interesting actually. It says an awful.lot about their prep and ability and belief
