lcfcfoz Posted 29 November 2019 Posted 29 November 2019 Hi I'm travelling up next Wednesday for my 1st game this season. I normally park in the local hero car park but heard some stories about parking eye. Can anyone recommend anywhere near ground please. I usually arrive around 4.30 to 5pm. And am happy paying whatever, the closer the better for me. Thank you.
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 29 November 2019 Posted 29 November 2019 Leicester Rowing club if you want to be close to the ground.
Bert Posted 29 November 2019 Posted 29 November 2019 Yeah either the rowing club or the cricket club.
UniFox21 Posted 29 November 2019 Posted 29 November 2019 Rowing club charge £10, but your main issue is getting out afterwards
lcfcfoz Posted 29 November 2019 Author Posted 29 November 2019 Thanks all. If I get there for 4.30 or 5 will I be able to get a space or should I arrive earlier. I don't mind staying after game as driving back to south Wales and have booked the day off work so no rush to get out after game.
Wrighty22 Posted 29 November 2019 Posted 29 November 2019 Just park in the Local Hero car park, but make sure you go in there to register your car.

Just park on Shakespeare Street and walk. Takes about 10-15 min walk and doesn't cost a penny
RoboFox Posted 29 November 2019 Posted 29 November 2019 As said above. The Saffron Lane athletics car park is fine as well, short walk to the ground and costs a few quid.
HighPeakFox Posted 29 November 2019 Posted 29 November 2019 British Gas has plenty of free parking too.
Stoopid Posted 29 November 2019 Posted 29 November 2019 If you're parking on Saffron Lane avoid Hawkins Rd (new houses KP side of the athletics stadium) as there's a hefty fine if you don't have a permit, but the signs warning about it aren't that obvious.

lcfcfoz Posted 29 November 2019 Author Posted 29 November 2019 Thanks a lot all! Roll on the game, but 3 points 1st on Sunday for us!
rachhere Posted 29 November 2019 Posted 29 November 2019 Sorry, just jumping in on this. We normally get the train to matches, but that obviously won't be an option for the boxing day fixture. Will these options be available then do you think? I can't imagine people wanting to come out to open up carparks on boxing day evening..!
Footballwipe Posted 29 November 2019 Posted 29 November 2019 Paying £10 to park your car for a couple of hours for a football game I want your disposable income please.

All money goes to multiple sclerosis.
