StriderHiryu Posted 8 December 2019 Posted 8 December 2019 442 Diamond Hype! Kasper Ricardo Evans Soyuncu Chilwell Ndidi Praet Tielemans Maddison Nacho Vardy Probably something like this. Played this way at the end of the Spurs game to win. Notice how there is no Barnes or Perez, so definitely 442 Diamond.
Tielemans63 Posted 8 December 2019 Posted 8 December 2019 Ricardo and Benny are going to be key in this game. Not much width otherwise
Guest seanfox778 Posted 8 December 2019 Posted 8 December 2019 Interesting! What is the shape? Come on Leicester!!!
MarriedaLeicesterGirl Posted 8 December 2019 Posted 8 December 2019 I guess Brendan really does think our wingers are better off the bench.
UniFox21 Posted 8 December 2019 Posted 8 December 2019 Was shocked to see both Barnes and Perez drop out the 11; but be good to see how this goes
lcfcsnow Posted 8 December 2019 Posted 8 December 2019 When has the diamond ever worked? Last time I remember was at Sheffield United but that wasn't convincing.
Guest Danny Clender Posted 8 December 2019 Posted 8 December 2019 My negative reverse inversion loop worked on Brendan. I said I wanted no changes and he took the bait, pity the fool.
jayfox26 Posted 8 December 2019 Posted 8 December 2019 No wingers. Be interesting how the diamond plays out. Just hope Madders doesn't end up out wide. Be interesting to see how Vardy and Kelechi play together.
Deeg67 Posted 8 December 2019 Posted 8 December 2019 Well, that's radical. No wingers! I hope Praet is massive today and makes it impossible for BR to take him out of the starting 11.
HitchinFox Posted 8 December 2019 Posted 8 December 2019 Interesting. Just hope this formation doesn't mean that Maddison gets pulled wide all the time. Look forward to seeing how it works!
coolhandfox Posted 8 December 2019 Posted 8 December 2019 Very interesting! Is this a Rodgers tactical masterclass?

Ended the game against Spurs with it, and it got us the two goals back to win the game. Picking the system means Rodgers must very specifically think it's to counter the way Villa play. Maybe to crowd out Grealish?
