No political discussion in this topic. That is complaining about a country, a politician, a party and/or its voters, etc

Well when you say I’m going to give a road map as to how we can get out on Sunday, by actually giving us a road map of how we can get out of it on Sunday, not in PM’s questions tomorrow.

Like others say, he has to save detail for tomorrow re the speaker reprimanding him last time  .....

I've been thinking this feels a bit like 9/11 in terms of how certain things changed after that.

Not sure how this time, but it does feel like a major event in history and things won't be the same as before.

One can Live in hope... Dont you think, the public the Joe blogge of every country, have to take time and lives Lessons  more serious..

politicians Big businesses have to be  told from their electorate, what they want, what they Really Really want,in a more Scarey-spice serious approach...

The last 70 years, when its come down to being counted,we have just Let the Big issues ride and poor Political leaders,be LED by Big paying businesses and Let THEM rule the roost....Our Environment Issues und reactions have been pathetic....Maybe  a schoolkids Councils arm  in Parlament might bell to Keep us

if you want tens of millions of jobs lost, starvation....this is a long term deliverable and is  actually starting to happen.....although a lot of it is in opposition to probably the overriding goal of sustainability

Also, the concessions regarding exercise coming into force from Wednesday rather than tomorrow seems illogical

Not sure there has been too much joined up thinking by the government

The emphasis has forever been conceded to the employer on that.

There was supposed to be a number of documents about working but the unions threw them out as they were so unclear.

Companies have been furloughing their staff because no ones buying so no one needs to make anything or build anything. Traditionally, it’s housing, construction and manufacturing that the economy relies on, without those industries everyone up the chain will eventually suffer. Public services, education, nhs etc  don’t make money, they rely on everyone chucking money into the pot and eventually it’s going to run out which means a breakdown in the system. I bet the next outrage will be when the really big companies announce massive dividends for their share holders!

Just me that thought that was a pretty straightforward set of instructions then? Following the rules will allow more things to open at times laid out, fail to follow them and we will be back to square one, with the finer details to be set out in the next few days...

French Embassy have announced that discussions have taken place between Macron and Johnson and people travelling in to UK from France don't have to follow quarantine guidelines for 14 days...

She's never been to my local pond. Wouldn't fit for used dobbers, shopping trolleys, and brick-ends.

So....I can drive up to Leicester to see my parents and meet them in a park but sit 2 meters apart?

No because the advice is still to stay at home unless it's essential you leave, other than for exercise

It just seems from the start they've been far too clever about it all. Like they've focus grouped everything. I realise that may be in response to our modern political culture but it's becoming slightly shambolic now.

becoming shambolic lol it’s been shambolic for about 4 months.

I work in a professional role within construction. You are quite correct. It’s a bleak future Companies have three options right now:-

a) keep working under the pretext of social distancing - cash flow is king, rather than actual money. Additionally not all manufacturers have been in operation until recently too for materials. Work is likely to dry up with demand but it’s a ‘natural’ dry up.

b) Choose the furlough option. Keep staff employed at 80% pay until June. Assess at the end but what’s the point having people in work doing nothing?

c) If on the furlough scheme, choose to stop and claim/implement social distancing. Begin the redundancy process ASAP which will have statutory periods.

Really sad to be honest. It’s an industry where cash flow rules it - that cash flow has dried up or will dry up.
