Vacamion Posted 10 April 2021 Posted 10 April 2021 The worst thing is is that VAR distracts from all that utterly toilet defending by Villa.
Arkie Bennett Posted 10 April 2021 Posted 10 April 2021 Robertson doing a Kane there. Carragher will be roaring his nose up now.
turlo Posted 10 April 2021 Posted 10 April 2021 the VAR ref even tried to draw the lines in Liverpools favour by drawing the defenders line on his hand and Jota line above his elbow! 1

Except when we get to hear you almost cry with disappointment during your extremely biased and poor commentary. Glad it wasn’t just me thinking please be offside just to annoy Carra The way he was trying to say Cash got a touch when there wasn’t a clear one was proper cringe.
Staffs Fox Posted 10 April 2021 Posted 10 April 2021 (edited) Whilst the decision has gone in our favour, I’m sorry but VAR has to go. That decision and the one last night are embarrassing. If that went against us I’d be rioting Edited 10 April 2021 by Staffs Fox 2
Jimothy Posted 10 April 2021 Posted 10 April 2021 The time it took to check that offside is a joke. Been saying it for ages now, I'd you can tell from the first few looks, just let the on field decision stand. Shouldn't be talking minutes to check.
Leicester_Loyal Posted 10 April 2021 Posted 10 April 2021 These lines are bollocks, 18 months on I still don't know if it's done manually or by technology, nor if the technology (frame rates etc.) are even accurate down to the millisecond etc. It's just a mess.

Even if the technology is highly accurate, the fact the most important part (drawing the lines) is still manual input and open to human error/interpretation, there isn’t really a benefit for calls that close. You might as well stick with the onfield decision. 2
Dan Posted 10 April 2021 Posted 10 April 2021 (edited) It helps us but Jesus, that decision is a disgrace. They need to get rid starting next season - there's absolutely no way you can go on like this. That they have for nearly two years is unbelievable. Edited 10 April 2021 by Dan LCFC
Corky Posted 10 April 2021 Posted 10 April 2021 Unless I've got this wrong, Carragher seemed to get Cash's involvement completely incorrect. I thought you had to touch it and then it was decided if it was deliberate such as a back pass or an attempt to block a cross. If he doesn't touch the ball it is irrelevant? 1
ARTY_FOX Posted 10 April 2021 Posted 10 April 2021 I'm not watching but I look forward to hopefully hearing a clip of carragher losing his shit because its against Liverpool.

Guest Harrydc Posted 10 April 2021 Posted 10 April 2021 Sometimes I love VAR. But in all seriousness, if they need to take over 30 seconds to make the decision it should just go back to the original decision.
Ian Nacho Posted 10 April 2021 Posted 10 April 2021 Surely whether Cash touched it or not is irrelevant? Jota being there in the first place has affected what Cash has done. 3

Carragher seemed to be suggesting that the intent to touch the ball was enough to rule out offside. I've never seen it interpreted like that and put the suggestion down to Carragher being a) Scouse and b) a git. 10 2

I don’t understand why that touch matters. If Jota is inside, makes no difference. If Jota is offside, it makes no difference? Edited 10 April 2021 by Criggers

Klopp’s fake teeth to fly out in the post match interview and one less team to be overly concerned about. 1

Never heard intent when missing the ball as a defender as a reason for a decision before. 1

The 'measurement methodology' is the problem Wondering why, unlike last night's decision, this one doesn't get called 'corrupt'. Would really help if you explained the criteria 1
ARTY_FOX Posted 10 April 2021 Posted 10 April 2021 Have the ever said why we see it with the fat lines but they use razor thin ones to judge?? Why can't we just see the thin ones?
