Would never thought arsenal would turn out to be such a dull side

They are in a bigger mess than Man Utd - there only decent players are Auba (off form since he signed his contract) and Tierney

Talking on bein sports about the man utd game on the bizarre peno decision. Apparently the ref was told to look at it on the monitor, whilst he was walking over Stockley Park told the ref it wasn't a peno, he then watches it and says "are you telling me that isn't a penalty?", then he awards no penalty on a blatant and obvious penalty.

Didnt know where to put this but in almost 30 years of premier league football I never heard the media or a team bang on about the injuries of a particular team more than they have about Liverpool tonight. Every live text page brought it up every 5 minutes, pundits did the same, pre and post match interviews were full of it. Dont even think Fergie's United got this treatment.

And the team they played had as much of an injury crisis if not worse!

The noise is because Van Dijk is injured. If he was still playing there wouldn't be half the noise created.

Thinking about the structure of the PL fixture list, we all know that if, for example, Everton play at home then Liverpool will be away. The question is, is there a more general pairing of home and away clubs across the entire league? These are some likely pairings, but looking at the fixtures for later this season, some of them aren't right. Could it be that half the league have this constraint, whilst the other half don't?

Arsenal, Spurs
Aston Villa, West Brom
Brighton, Southampton
Burnley, Sheff Utd
Chelsea, Fulham
Crystal Palace, West Ham
Everton, Liverpool
Leeds, Newcastle
Leicester, Wolves
Man C, Man Utd

Burnley and Sheff Utd?! Leeds and Newcastle?!

Brighton and Southampton aren't that close at all.

Neither are us and Wolves. Wolves and West Brom are closer together than Villa and West Brom.

Some of the league have the constraint because they generally are geographically close. It's to do with safety of fans, travelling on transport networks and rivalries so that there aren't clashes. Having two teams in an area is much easier to handle than 4 teams. That's not even mentioning other clubs in the areas too from different divisions which need to be managed too.

You'll never get the Manchester clubs at home together. Same for Arsenal and Spurs, Everton and Liverpool.

The 'magic fixture computer' has all this info taken in to account before churning out the season's games.

Why are the commentators pronouncing the keepers name as Mondy

Presumably it's got something to do with that being how his name is pronounced.

"Why are the commentators pronouncing Arsenal's new striker's name as On-ree?"

half the media is ex Liverpool, they stuck a ex Liverpool player on the bbc co commentate last night and  Carragher did skys commentary

Added to the plastic fans they have all over the media, mascara ding as journalists, and their fanbase their send death threats to a pickford at a drop of a hat. and that about sums them up as a club.
