lnkstern Posted 28 January 2021 Posted 28 January 2021 Is there any sort of quick concise summary of handball nowadays? This is more a complaint than a request for any sort of in-depth answer. I freely admit I am not a scholar of the 'rules of the game.' Back in the day, it was 'deliberate handball.' Then it seemed to have evolved to 'hand in an unnatural position.' Now, I just don't know. I see non-deliberate, non-unnatural position contacts happen -- some are penalized, some not. Perhaps I am just crotchety.

Leicester_Loyal Posted 28 January 2021 Posted 28 January 2021 If Kane's out for a month or two they could hopefully put them out of the running for a top 4 place.

RowlattsFox Posted 28 January 2021 Posted 28 January 2021 I still find it amazing looking at the supposed top 6 teams and thinking how few I'd swap into our team.

It is also automatically an offence if the arm is above shoulder height. There is now no handball if the ball is deflected onto the arm, or if the ball hits a player using his arm for support.” I was just looking it up, interesting bit in bold so the goal should have stood? 1 1
AKCJ Posted 28 January 2021 Posted 28 January 2021 Wijnaldum has bossed this game. His improvement under Klopp has been immense.
Vacamion Posted 28 January 2021 Posted 28 January 2021 That sniffing noise every 10 seconds is like the sound of the automatic doors sliding open and shut in Star Trek. 2

Happy Fox Posted 28 January 2021 Posted 28 January 2021 The game against Liverpool is going to be crucial for our top 4 hopes or better

Thank you. That is fairly concise -- "unnatural silhouette" or "arm above shoulder". Of course I am sure there are numerous caveats we could discuss ad infinitum...

Hollyfox Posted 28 January 2021 Posted 28 January 2021 I'm trying to think of something worse than going to a Tottenham v Southampton game and having to listen to the constant drone of 'When the Saints /Spurs go Marching On' for 90 minutes. Maybe having a seat next to Glenn Hoddle, just to top it off. 🙄😕😕
foxfanazer Posted 28 January 2021 Posted 28 January 2021 Spurs would be the best team in the league every year if it wasn't for 4 or 5 other sides 2
UniFox21 Posted 28 January 2021 Posted 28 January 2021 Hoddle using Bale vs Wycombe to determine he's good enough to make an impact vs Liverpool? 1
