I think it's slightly harsh, really should be seen in normal play though and then there is no goal issue One where the rules themselves are wrong. By the letter of the law it's rightly disallowed but that's never a handball.
Super_horns Posted 28 January 2021 Posted 28 January 2021 1-1 on ruled out VAR goals then. Both could have gone either way?
irishfoxkev Posted 28 January 2021 Posted 28 January 2021 Ok disallow the goal but surely there was handball and a foul by Dier so shud be Liverpool freekick 1
davieG Posted 28 January 2021 Posted 28 January 2021 Surely if you're checking the handball he was fouled 1st so should be a free kick to Liverpool. I know they'll say they don't check for that but it contributed to the hand ball. Another reason why VAR Is not a great improvement for fouls.
Corky Posted 28 January 2021 Posted 28 January 2021 Absolute nonsense ruling. They've both handballed it, just play on.
EastAnglianFox Posted 28 January 2021 Posted 28 January 2021 Given decisions since VAR were introduced i wont argue against the goal being disallowed but why can't the referee also go back and book Dier for manhandling Firminho? Common sense ffs
UniFox21 Posted 28 January 2021 Posted 28 January 2021 We'll see all this when it's the handball rule being applied, not directly the fault of VAR
RowlattsFox Posted 28 January 2021 Posted 28 January 2021 Would they give a pen for that? I don't think they would.

Gerard Posted 28 January 2021 Posted 28 January 2021 Well if Liverpool were going to get their form back they couldn't pick a better club to do it to than Tottenham.

StanSP Posted 28 January 2021 Posted 28 January 2021 Dier and Rodon is not a top-6 defence. Spurs have to sort that out. Let alone having Aurier next to them on the right and Sanchez on the bench as cover...
Md9 Posted 28 January 2021 Posted 28 January 2021 If Kane’s done his ankle again could be out for a while as he normally is could really mess their season up 😬 1 1
UniFox21 Posted 28 January 2021 Posted 28 January 2021 "Liverpool looked in control from the start" Spurs scored after a few mins?
Guest Manini Posted 28 January 2021 Posted 28 January 2021 Hands up. How many of us thought we’d have not one but two more points than Liverpool after 20 games at the start of the season? For how good they looked last year that is wild.
SouthStandUpperTier Posted 28 January 2021 Posted 28 January 2021 Take Kane or Son out of this Spurs team and they look a bottom-half team. 1
