Both are amazing cities for a city break. Also with Napoli you meet several miles outside the city, get put on coaches with a police escort and get taken back out afterwards by the police. They have made it safe for fans if you want to be safe so there is little to worry about if you want to just go for a city break and not partake in the whole drinking and singing culture. Napoli is the one I'd want the most.

Well that’s the other thing with it, wouldn’t be able to have a big gathering in the centre.

It probably would happen but I personally would go no where near it. Rarely can say this but there would be a very realistic possibility of stabbings and death doing that. Napoli would be an extraordinary 90 minute experience but it wouldn't be a whole day event like Brugge or Madrid or Porto was.

Being in this competition wrecked Wolves' early season form and they only finished 3 points below us in the league!

Wolves did have to start their season in July and play three qualifiers. We go directly to the group stages

Same with Roma I recon, away fans in Italy tend to get bused in from experience.

Went to see Atalanta V Roma a few years ago and they don’t get on at all, that ended with riot police in the away end. Would definitely be an experience over there lol.

And I'm very thankful for that!

Was just responding to the point that Wolves are 'some way off our best XI', as without those extra games they may well have finished above us in the league this season.

It won't just be Italy, with the europa league it brings up the real prospect of going to Russia, Ukraine and Turkey amongst others. Unless we get very fortunate and are able to stay in western/Northern Europe there is going to be some very interesting and scary away days. Exciting and scary at the same time.

Yeah, I’ve done Ukraine but that was the euros so it was alright other than Kharkiv which was a bit dicey.

Tournaments tend to be a little more calm in my experience. I went to Russia a couple of years ago for the World Cup and had a lovely experience, couldn't have felt more safe. However I reckon it will be different watching CSKA vs Leicester on a Thursday night. Interestingly the only time I've felt properly unsafe at a football match was in France in 2016 so I guess Western Europe can be dodgy too.

Yeah agreed mate, I’ll still go to them if we can.

I don’t doubt that. I am still feeling a bit low especially after the way we lost it today. I thought we were in the ascendency and had that error not occurred, we would’ve scored. If buts and maybe’s. You also remember the games where we have thrown away points. Certainly don’t have an issue with fans feeling low, I do myself.

My issue is with comments where people completely be-little the competition as if we are too big for it and have bigger fish to fry. And granted, it may be people venting but come on, this is a fantastic tournament to be a part of. Hold off on the venting until a few days before putting a downer on a competition in which we have no history. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, if today you offer me, Europa via league qualification for the next five years, I’ll snap your hand off.

I thinks it’s purely down to people

needing something to be angry at and down on though mate. In comparison it is crap compared to champs league. But they will feel differently once the dust settles.

The positive for me is that the Europa League only starts to get tasty in March/April and we may have a good chance as going as fans then. If we were in the champions league, we’d been knocked out a long time before then.

Depends who we get in the groups tbh. There will be some ties nobody would be able to get to, like Astana or Qarabag, but you'd be gutted to miss out on something like AC Milan or a proper drinking nirvana like Standard Liege.

I've just realised both Manchester clubs screwed us. United (for having VAR as their 12th man) and City (for cheating and getting away with it)

Well Man City didn’t claim a point off United and Chelsea......

Could be heading back to Copenhagen if they win their qualifiers.

Spurs are in the qualifiers.  They'll have games on 17th & 24th. Might be a good time to play them at the start of the season?

If Chelsea win the fa cup Spurs will go into the group stage and wolves qualifiers so it's not certain yet.

I get the feeling a lot of posters in this thread were not present for Yeovil Town at home.  Good win though that one.

I hope Atletico don't end up in it, because we all know what will happen then.  lol

Definitely does given we drew ;)
