Master Fox Posted 27 July 2020 Posted 27 July 2020 We need to go all out and win the bastard thing. Surely we’ll be one of the favourites?

Depends what kind of start we get off to in the Premier League I reckon. A bad start and I can see us tanking the Europa League.
adejo92 Posted 27 July 2020 Posted 27 July 2020 (edited) Setting aside the Champions League 'What could have been'.... We are in a brilliant position that every fan (deep down) would have snapped your hand off for at the beginning of the season. When you look through the leagues, at the teams involved, theres some brilliant games to be had and some great countries / cities & stadiums to visit. Whilst it may or may not offer any resemblence to our own journey, i look at the Wolves journey and theres great memories / trips to be had. Crusaders (Belfast) - Probably an affordable away day if you factor in the cost of a stab vest and armoured transfers. Pyunik (Armenia) - Not sure you'd ever visit unless for football but looks nice (Cheap beer too). Torino (Italy) - Nice trip to Italy and its only 23 minutes away from Juventus so could always visit and pretend we were part of the European Tournament that people care about. Braga - Nice trip to Portugal. Besiktas - Nice trip and save on the return flight if your happy to be buried in Turkey. Slovan Bratislava - Not sure i'd visit Slovakia for any reason other than football but would definitely go. Espanyol - Nice mini break in Barcelona. Olympiacas - Probably one of the more expensive one's getting to Greece and would have to stay a few days to make the flight time worth while. As i said, it offers no comparison to our journey but as an idea, other than Besiktas, i would love to visit all of thouse countries / cities and stadiums. Whatever happen's, theres some big teams and great adventures waiting. Edited 27 July 2020 by adejo92 2 2

Could be some heavy drop outs from Champions League after those Qualifiers. I think if we get through the group stage with little fuss that'll be good. Then it gets serious with the knockouts.
LestaAl Posted 27 July 2020 Posted 27 July 2020 I will be happy if we make it to the last 32. We should do better but I suspect the pressure we may find ourselves under from underperforming in the PL will force BR to prioritise the domestic games more come the new calendar year.

I know a few will covet the edginess of a tense atmosphere, but hopefully we get a group with at least 1 nice place to visit and not all scary holes. We were spoiled with our Champions League group getting 3 of the nicest cities on the continent. Sociedad, Milan and Somewhere out east would be a decent draw. Milan is a bit shit.
Gazza3 Posted 27 July 2020 Posted 27 July 2020 Its the first time the club has qualified for Europa league / UEFA Cup through league position . This is something to be proud of otherwise whats the point. BRING IT ON When is the draw...? 1
VLC86 Posted 27 July 2020 Posted 27 July 2020 Honestly guys, we want some sheep farmers in Iceland/Faroes or anywhere in Scandinavia. Yeah it will be £10 a pint and travel will be expensive but oh well.

Grebfromgrebland Posted 27 July 2020 Posted 27 July 2020 This is a competition we could get to the semi final or final if Brendan isn't too stubborn with is philosophy.

Out at the group stage the due to blunders with kasper trying to play football or us needlessly messing around with t the ball in our defensive third😂

Just emphasises our lack of real depth for a club with regular top 6 aspirations. 1

Yet people jump on the kids. dont get me wrong I have been very critical of chilwell in the last couple of seasons, but I’d be even harder on the seasoned pros that haven’t cut the mustard of late.
les-tah Posted 27 July 2020 Posted 27 July 2020 (edited) i would say we are about 50,000/1 to ever win a champions league but with 3/4 quality signings we could go very very far in the Europa league and maybe win the thing who knows.. So if this is the only chance at ever winning something at European level then im onboard. Edited 27 July 2020 by les-tah
TJB-fox Posted 27 July 2020 Posted 27 July 2020 Guarantee the entitled ones moaning are the ones who started supporting us on return to the premier league and couldn’t tell you who Bruno Berner, Steve Howard and Kerrea Gilbert are. 2

We get it, you have supported Leicester for longer than a couple of years, well done you! The ones who are moaning might be moaning because we ****ed up on a huge opportunity to take the club even further, your post suggests you can see we have come forward so why not again? 9

Would likely be safer than a Rome/Napoli trip as well. Sociedad (i.e. San Sebastian) was my nice place in that group. Edited 27 July 2020 by martyn

Spudulike Posted 27 July 2020 Posted 27 July 2020 Interesting to see if we sell out our home legs. I remember Burnley playing in front of a half empty stadium.

Stadium holds around 5,000 and the City has a nice zoo Made the Zooropa League via the Austrian play-off system which is slightly less complicated than the Belgian League. 1
