Sad times to see Grimsby falling back into non league. Even worse for them that Lincoln will probably make the league 1 play offs.

They will be expecting automatic promotion given the takeover and presumably having a budget available to bring in new players.

Quite an embarrassing case of mis-identity from the referee in the Oldham v Grimsby game.

 

There's some female presenter on the football highlights show on Quest; think she used to be (or still is) a matchday reporter on Gillette Soccer Saturday (?).

It's Michelle Owen, probably about the best reporter on Soccer Saturday/Special. Really knowledgeable. 

 

She made a mistake similar to Chris Kamara's a couple of weeks a back and received some pretty nasty trolling for it.

Sorry to see Grimsby go down but in reality it's been all but confirmed for months, they've been run into the ground thanks to appalling management on and off the pitch. Most fans though would probably take relegation if it meant change of owners hopefully the takeover gets completed and they'll come back stronger.
