Schalke are yet to sign anyone and yet to sell anyone for any money too. They've lost Nubel, Caliguiri, Kenny, Gregoritsch and Todibo among others off the wage bill, but if they need cash they need to sell at least one or two assets.

They've self-imposed a salary cap of €2.5m a season so any player won't earn more than £45k there.

The only other player I've seen linked for sale from them is Weston McKennie, whose deal to Hertha fell through but could still move to England. If they need quick cash this one could move quickly if we have genuine interest.

"The 20-year-old Turkey international could potentially team up with Caglar Soyuncu with Leicester wary that Jonny Evans could also leave this summer amid interest from Premier League rivals."

Have I missed this?

It's known as 'noise'.

Good to see the club are hopefully looking at the right sort of players: a young 3rd choice CB to learn of from Evans (Todibo, Kabak, Demiral in Jan) a LB to replace Chillers hopefully Tagliafico/ Telles and Thauvin or Brooksas as a left footed RW.

1 for each position and we’ll have improved our squad and 1st XI for nothing. Just got to get it done now. Simples.

Kids a real gem, and turkish so will get on well with Cags.

Why do people say that.... He might.. but he might not.

half of England hate each other And  In the states whatever political side you’re on you are considered the devil incarnate by the other  and Turkey has a political divide that’s bigger than both put together..

Don't overthink it, its just because they'll be able to speak their native language to each other...

Schalke are in all kinds of financial trouble. He would be a brilliant signing and would complement cags very well. Very good in the air and likes to kick people, what more could we ask for.

His surname has a nice symmetry to it and for that reason I'm in!

He sounds like a dodgy Star Wars character

Hopefully he won’t be an anagram of Sith.

Gerrimin.

If you weren't sold on this transfer by one of these reasons, the combination of all three will surely do it.

And funnily enough, these just happened to be the top three qualities that headed Congers scouting report (ITK )

I think a lot of people would be more interested in signing him if this was his surname.

In all the clips he seems to be in the perfect place to the right time, or just eases a player off the ball.

Does he?

Seems to me a lot of last ditch sliding tackles.  Good defenders don't often need to do that.
