Time to convince this lad to sign a new deal and involve him with the first team. One of him or KDH will be in or around the first team this season and the other allowed to go on loan. Pleased to see Rodgers single him out for praise, we cannot let him leave like we have done with Gyamfi. Looks a really talented player does Tavares.

Media reported he turned down a new contract and left the club at the end of June. But I don't remember seeing this ever officially confirmed by the club.

Calvin Bassey signed for Rangers.

It was reported that Rangers are “keen” on Gyamfi but he hasn’t.

Seemed quite assured didn't really get an idea of what kind of player he is though, would be nice to have him in the first team but reckon Rodgers is bigging him up for a loan move. Have a feeling KDH will be kept around for Europa and whatnot.

Can see Tavares slowly being eased into first team football with gametime in the cups and Europa.

 

Get a decent fee for Mendy next summer and Tavares will be ready to step up.

Sidnei and Youri definitely had freedom to roam, with Mendy sitting. Similar to our 4-1-4-1 I guess.

 

Tavares did drop deep at times to give our CB’s a passing option, but he also helped create overloads down the left linking up with Barnes/Leshabela.

I meant literally was he wearing the number 6 as opposed to the positions he took on the pitch.

Tavares is gonna be a top class, if not world class player. He’s got everything you need to be an elite footballer. Giving him a new contract is an absolute must. 

 

If we lose Tavares after losing Gyamfi already, we may as well **** it all off and become a League 1 nothing club again.
