Popular Post HybridFox Posted 31 May 2023 Popular Post Posted 31 May 2023 That FA Cup win is a day that will maybe never ever be topped and I'll be always be grateful for the many big moments. Under happier circumstances, I'd be wishing him warmly but as with everyone in this squad, they have been complicit in our relegation. Until we're back in the top flight, I'm not sure I can overlook that just yet 8
Sampson Posted 31 May 2023 Posted 31 May 2023 Does he really going to think a PL club in the CL is going to sign him after his performances over the past 2 seasons?

Would you put it past Newcastle doing it? Free transfer, pads their squad out with a decent player ready for European football. 1

Newcastle or Man Utd definitely. He is on a free and will immediately be worth 40m to any CL that signs him. He’s probably accept a spot as a squad player for a massive club, and his undoubted talent would be useful to many clubs that need (and can afford) options.

No one ever bidded that for him while he was here even when he was playing well 1
Guest Dirkster the Fox Posted 31 May 2023 Posted 31 May 2023 Hopefully with the passing of time, all Leicester fans will fondly embrace a great player for us and one who will forever be remembered in our club’s history for an epic goal to win our first ever FA Cup. Thanks Youri and good luck 👍 #Leicesterlegend
Paninistickers Posted 31 May 2023 Posted 31 May 2023 I hope he goes abroad. I loved him to bits playing for us. I'd like to able able to watch him and not feel any angst or envy with him wearing a, say, West Ham shirt (and surely that move is possible when they lose Rice) Not everything in football has that perfect 'Cambiasso,' ending but, anyways, Thanks for the memories, Youri x 3
Popular Post Mr.Bingles Posted 31 May 2023 Popular Post Posted 31 May 2023 (edited) Decent message from a decent footballer. He won us the FA Cup. That goal is etched in Leicester history!! Good luck to the lad! To those being bitter about him leaving stop being daft and be grateful for the goals and assists he gave us. Edited 31 May 2023 by Mr.Bingles 5

JimmyC74 Posted 31 May 2023 Posted 31 May 2023 Wish Youri the best. A talented player that delivered us some great moments, but probably should have moved / been sold after the FA Cup. Thanks and we move on.

Didn't we sign him for like 30-40m?
GingerrrFox Posted 31 May 2023 Posted 31 May 2023 (edited) Say what you want if he goes to Villa after his agent touting him to any Champions League club going for the past 2 years. He’ll always be a ****. Edited 31 May 2023 by GingerrrFox
Your Honour Posted 31 May 2023 Posted 31 May 2023 Will always have a place in our folklore for that FA Cup final winner, but his form this season was shocking and undoubtedly contributed to our relegation. Wish him well. 1
SK3Blue Posted 31 May 2023 Posted 31 May 2023 Some great strikes in addition to the stunning FA Cup Final goal. Shame he couldn't be bothered putting a shift in this season, although I bet he moved quick in the canteen.
honeybradger Posted 31 May 2023 Posted 31 May 2023 He was brilliant in 20/21 and on loan, was fairly good in 19/20 as well. The other two seasons he's genuinely been crap. I think people saying "it will be a while before we get a player of his quality again" are a bit out of touch with how poor he has been for half his time here. Realistically there's many midfielders in the PL alone who could output a similar quality to Tielemans over the last few years: Mcginn, Neves, paqueta etc . Not many of them would win the FA cup in such an incredible fashion but equally not many of them will have a relegation on their CV at the end of their careers. 2
rachhere Posted 31 May 2023 Posted 31 May 2023 Meh. Am I the only one who never really warmed to him that much. I know he brought us that moment, but always felt he saw himself as bigger than the club. 1
Sly Posted 31 May 2023 Posted 31 May 2023 (edited) He’s one of my favourite ever players of this era. Youri for me gave us something that others didn’t. It’s funny, as clearly he’s struggled with fitness this season and isn’t the most athletic. Maybe he just needed a prolonged rest. I’ll actually remember him with far more fondness than Maddison. I’m not convinced, teams would’ve bid £40m for him 2 seasons ago if that’s the case. All his time here it’s been clear no clubs who ever looked at him really thought he was worth a decent enough price tag to bid for. Not sure if he goes to a CL they’d just be able to sell him for £40m if he continues not to perform when we couldn’t sell him less at his peak
jonthefox Posted 31 May 2023 Posted 31 May 2023 I know he’s been shit for a while, but this has made me irrationally sad .
