It is madness, when so called pundits are saying we should have sold him and not let his contract run down, but did anyone come in for him, certainly no one did last summer!

So how are you supposed to sell a player, if no one comes in for him!

At least his wages are off our books. I for one will be always grateful for his Wembley goal, and when he was good, he was very good, but he’s not a type of player suited for a relegation battle, like at lot of our players

The last sentence sums this situation up perfectly. YT is one of the most talented players we have ever had. But when it’s time to roll the sleeves up and fight; it just ain’t him.

I've never seen an international player fail to play so many 5 yard passes. He's possibly the best striker of the ball we've had, but there's no way he'd even dominate the Championship the same way Drinkwater/James did during promotion.

Carried by Ndidi for years, and then ironically ruined Ndidi in return.

Has he gone yet?

Forever grateful for that fa cup goal, but this tapping the badge, looking sad wore off on me ages ago.

To make him captain as well !

He should have been told - don't sign a contract or extension and you won't play which will mean no World Cup - simple

We've been way too soft with these absolute muppets

Not shifting any blame but why did he balloon so dramatically?  Was it a plan like, to bulk up to protect the ball better? He just seemed to lose all his pace and agility.

Tracking back looked exhausting for him.

Isn't this the medical teams job?

Not blaming the medical fitness staff for his performance, just can't understand why he changed over the last 1-2 seasons.

I'm sure he wasn't always this unfit.

Technically gifted, but not what we needed for a relegation dog fight. We desperately missed the work horses needed for a relegation battle this season. Some footballers are not designed to fight and I don't think that is the same as lack of effort. Although I'm sure we would have seen more if he thought he was the one going to be playing in the Championship next year.

I honestly think he will look better in a better team where he will find time to pick that game changing pass whilst picking up a couple of worldie strikes (although none will ever beat the FA Cup winner)

...we do not know which clubs had enquired about his availability!!!

I have always maintained that he is not leaving this club. We seemed to indulge him and allowed him to dictate his time here.

Do we now lose a #10, and have #8 looking to pull the strings.

His contract has ended , he has left the club. He is almost certainly in preliminary talks with another club already identified by his agent.

No chance he fits into a Premier League side with ambition.

Will probably end up in Italy, Spain or Possibly France.

Champions league? Haha good luck fat lad. You’d struggle in the championship nowadays, you’d get bullied off the ball, not to mention you’d be oh so tired with that lengthy season.

Luton Town want him

Lol 😂 it is his level these days, but I think I’m being far too harsh to Luton.

Delusions of grandeur.

Man City no chance. Arsenal are looking for Xhaka replacement and potentially Partey if he goes to prison, but that would still be a step down. Man Utd and Newcastle probably don’t need a first choice player in his position. So it’s Arsenal or busy.

I'm shocked!

Good luck to him. Maybe wasn't his best last 12 months, but did give us some special moments indeed. That FA Cup goal will never ever be forgotten.
