I am 57 , live  in Turkey Istanbul. I am Turkish citizen .

 

My uncle worked in Germany and brought me Schalke 04 jersey in the past . I am a strong Beckenbauer fan.. Gerd Müller Bohnoff Overath Holsenbain Rummenige  Mayer (penalty) in my childhood heros.. Germany was incredible team those days. In Turkey , tht time whoever be goalkeeper say himself if do a save , are you mayer be ? And my small nephew if they got angry said : Alta siege do.! My german language is not much more than ..  

 

I have German friends I do not now what they are doing now.  We wrote each other letters for a while in English . Also my fathers close friend got married with a German Lady Mrs Marliese. She was among our family members too.

I only have Turkish Phrases , for bazaars,Market and bars/Cafe Short conversation, many now lost somewhere Really forgotten Stuck at the back of my mind....I

Living in Germany,I had quite a few Turkish aqaintances...especially when Working & Living in Berlin ( before 1991) and Frankfurt,Mainz Rhein Area recently....

 

 

I am a BVB fan ( 2nd fav team,but  foxes born) so anything Schalke04 Leaves me cold und irratable..:giggle:

Now I have took up German citizenship....German Football will disintigrate.....:crylaugh:

 

Sarcasm is a British & German trait.....and the Turkish I have met,also know how to wittingly use it....

So hold on to your tarboosh, Brit football forums are awash with it...

Don t Take anything too seriously in Football Related topics......

 

Now General Chat topics, politics/News/Covid opinions... ....well to be honest.....naaa dont take them too seriously either

Absolutely you are right..I was thinking like that too I  am not schalke fan but like Bayern .Now I am very tough Leicester fan :) . Hope they will be very much succesful in this year so that all my nation will be happy for that. In fact Leicester has 80 million more fan now in Turkey..
