Enjoyed seeing him lead the team out but I thought he looked frustrated pretty early on. Not his day today. If anyone deserves a let off for one game this season its him.

Hopefully back to normal service next week.

Definitely.

He visibly had a go at Kristiansen, Castagne, Dewsbury-Hall and Tete in the first half.

Second half he was really poor. Misplacing passes, breaking down moves and just not having the impact he should have as a leader and for someone in such good form. Even the free-kick and consequent rebound was quite poor.

Maybe it was the injury that was affecting him. But I hope he's not done more damage to himself to rule him out of next week's game.

Watched him like a hawk after bing told something about him today and I was a little bit concerned by the reaction and body language all game, not just when we were getting battered like what ended up happening in the 2nd half.

Hope this is just an isolated incident.

Can't just leave that hanging there like that.

It's nothing major, whether it's now he's captain and he's taking people to task I'm not sure but I definitely detected a different reaction from him to passages of play and that was when we were playing well!!!

He was so off it today. He never seems to produce against Man U.

Perhaps he's been pushed by his agent to join the Old Trafford club in the past and being there got to his head a bit?

I believe he got an assist there last season.

Anyway, I've always said we seem to go to jelly when we go to Old Trafford. It's as if the players can't believe they are playing there. Even in 15/16 we were nervy.

I’m a big fan of Madders just really surprised by how many chances he squandered today. Not at all like him recently.

... really hoping newcastle find a way to miss out on the champions league. Cant see him going there without it.

Why do people give a shit where he goes? If he's off I just want the most money possible, so I'm not arsed which club he signs for. I want the best deal for us. If the Saudis want to pay more than everyone else (though they have tight arsed it in the Summer) then that's where I want him to go. If he must indeed go.

Probably the same thing that @ramadaone alluded to that got lost in the pre-match thread.

because there are realistic teams we can currently compete with and ones we can’t 🤷‍♂️

trying toe create content for his show reel today - he is not top 6 is he.

I mean his record vs the big 6 and his goals and assists in the last 18 months suggest yes he absolutely is, but go on enlighten me why he isn't?

I picked up that he seemed to be frustrated early on and was flailing his arms around even when he was messing up in possession, it’s the poorest he’s played in a while.

Last 10.mins we had 2 corners, he just strolled over to take them.

No sprint, no motivation to the other lads, nothing.

BAD
