As Ric Flair says, this is a perfectly reasonable approach for some players, just not all of them. Despite the best efforts of Suarez, Sterling and Coutinho. No problem punting on players when you're not at the top but when you should be at the top you should be looking to buy players that are at the peak of their powers and entering the primes of their career. Be interesting to see how that sort of mentality would work here. We're currently in Europe having finished 5th (would have finished in the top 4 barring Covid).
