Chilwell £45-50m

Diabate £1m

So £46-51m

Fofana £32m-£36m

Castagne £21.5m

Under £2.5m loan fee

So £56m-£60m

I think it's about £9-10m net on raw transfer fees, but it's never that simple given fees are amortized over contract lengths, bonuses and incentives we don't know about etc.

Must have got £5m at least for Silva.

Where do Villa get all their dosh from?

Cash injections, probably same as Everton.

In an ideal sitution you want to become self sufficient which is what we are atm.

Owners pumping it in.

Which isn't sustainable, but a similar level of spend to us post our first season in the prem accounting for inflation. Next season we'll need to spend.

Fuchs, James, Slimani, Gray, Morgan will all leave so we'll need some reinforcements and lose about 12m off the wage bill.

New contracts for Soyuncu and Ricardo should be the priority for me.

People need to be mindful of this when think we are going to be a regular top 6 side, challenging for honours.

In my view since our return to PL we have punch above our weight.

We are currently funding the new training ground and then the stadium expansion. In time once those investments are paid for we will be able to invest more of our earnings in players, but by then we should have higher earnings with a bigger fan base and also will be in a better place to attract the top players.

They are recently promoted, so it's very easy to spend money as the revenue increase compared to their outgoings is huge. It takes a few years to level off and or their wages to catch up with other clubs.

Owners could also be pumping in money of course.

With the squad we have, the only replacement needed for those 5 would be a left back.  We also need a striker at some point before Vardy turns 40.

Striker, left back, replacement for whichever big name goes.

Burnley: Spent £1m, Sold £0

Their poor supporters.  Not only do you have to watch post-WWII football, their idea of “squad reinforcement” is buying trusses for aging British players.

Those who have been to Turf Moor -- when you enter the stadium, does your vision suddenly turn to black & white?

Big fan of Burnley spending £1m and selling £0m.

Burnley: Spent £1m, Sold £0

It’s been a quiet window for Sean Dyche’s side amid uncertainty surrounding the ownership of the club.

Dale Stephens was signed for £1m from Brighton but the main bit of business was to keep James Tarkowski amid interest from West Ham and Leicester.

Burnley taking football back to the 80's on and off the pitch....
