Can't help think, it a little like replacing Mahrez, we could never one replace him with a like for like replacement, we had to improve the team overall.

I think the same about Vardy, we can get a decent forward, but never one of Vardy's level, but if we can improve our wide forward by 10-15% we will be ok.

Yep, that's exactly what we'll have to do. Replacing him anywhere close to his ability would be a stroke of luck.

In which case we need 2 wingers who score at least 10-15 league goals a season if you consider Vardy gets 20-25 and Barnes and Perez got 15 between them last season and we were hoping for more from them. We need 40-50 goals from the front 3 to consistently challenge the top 6. Especially as we don't have a prolific central midfielder either or centre halves that chip in with several from set pieces.

Tielemans is on a completely different stratosphere to those two, and they aren’t really the same type of player either. In fact in world football there aren’t many deep lying playmakers at the moment; only Thiago, Jorginho, Pjanic, Kronos, Veratti and Arthur immediately spring to mind.

I think players like that are hard to find and even harder to develop. It’s true that even with Youri, he started off here as more of an attacking midfielder but has gradually been pushed back by Rodgers to his current role so it is possible to do that. But you need a phenomenal amount of skills plus the mental capacity to read the game to play the position.

There’s a reason why he’s our club record signing!

I agree,no argument here....But when the seasons develope & players have a heavy game Time turn around,

you Dont want any,not just the stars,to hit a WallI Ob injuries, burnout, long period of lack of form....

We are in an Unique situation, where players are/will have a mixture of emotional, mental toll that has nothing to

do with the game..So besides the Family Football career routine, where there are the ups & downs,

there will be players, managers, staff & their families trying to Balance out their lives,

with aprehension the situation with covid..travelling, & bubbles. Whether your a Family man ,Single or courting.

Yes we all have our unknown Covid concerns ,but their situation follows an even more difficult quirks of trying to handle, who they are, where ,what they are...

The season Routine is quite heavy and the players are having to find out for themselves ( forget coaches/manager requests)

how to handle their own Stress & workloads...Fans & Media should Not take, any of my points for granted...

Looking at Tielemans ..I just believe ,like a few others Now in our squad, the Cover or rotation will on par Not be the same,

but Like we have done with Vardy, each of our high Talents workload & gametime/benchtime will have to be  ,with shrewdly & thoughtfully Nutzer & manager even more so in the Next 2 seasons.

Again Not just Tielemans, but also our younger talent, who are needing suddenly to Pull out

those extra reserves of Quality & skills, they would normally been give 2-3 seasons to hone & bring out that ....

yet unknown, the hopes & presumed talent...

Then  After all that , its also compounded ,not just  LCFC but other clubs low-level & heavy bearing injuries..!!

Tielemans or Any others, should Not be driving themselves through every Single game...

We IMO should (need) be looking to pull the Leshebalas & others into First Team reckoning.

Rodgers will know ,every rotation can be a gamble, but its These times where managers, players,& squad Ethos Discover

what they are about....

Fofana did over commit to let their goal in. As a CB and in that potential fast break situation, he should have stood back with Evans to slow them down (which would then allow our other players to get back) instead of trying to be a hero to try to attack the ball - wrong choice. Trust he would learn from this though but it was a massive error.

Do you live in Brendan Rodgers mind:). Its possible he was told to push up aggressively and let Evans and one of our Defensive backs take up the slack. Don't think either of us really knows what Tactics are being used to keep the attack on Braga's side of the field. If anything we should realize that Rodgers almost never uses a cookie cutter approach to anything. Fofana looked like he was playing as an attacking player when he came on for the second half. Having a hard time understanding slating Fofana for a thing he wouldn't do on his own.

In an ideal world they would be brought into the team, but just keep in mind that Leshebala is 21, KDH is 22, Tielemans is 23! Youri is a freak, as you shouldn't be that good at that age, and yet he is. This season he's showing himself to be one of the best central midfielders in the division and the engine of our team that gets us going. Developing a player that is even close to that level will be extremely difficult to do, as Youri could well end up being a generational talent.

Again cant disagree...

But he will Need the odd break, if this was like our title season,or even the One after,I cant  see any problem with Continuous gametime

TAVARES is the closest thing to Tielemans we have

He actually could be, though of what I've seen of him he seems more like a box to box player. He's young enough that he could become an option if he stays here.

Players can develop at later ages, see one J. Vardy, but Luke Thomas and Wesley Fofana show what players destined for the top can do at an early age. Fofana is there for all to see, but Thomas is also frightening. Chilwell wat 19 was on loan to Huddersfield, whereas Thomas just played the 90 and scored away from home at our main rivals in a Europa group stage. Tavares is 19 but not featured in any match day squads yet, so I do question the hype around him as it stands.

Tavares can play 6, 8 or 10 but his best position is as a deep lying playmaker. I just wish the club would take a gamble on him and make him feel part of the long term future here and then hopefully sign a new deal. We don't lose many youngsters and regret it but I think we will on him if he indeed walks away in the summer.

The lads had a howler, seems to be without a club. I do wonder if the pandemic will make youngsters more nervous of leaving to try and secure first team football as there's a fair few still without clubs that ordinarily would have bagged a decent move.

....he stepped out a lot against Liverpool and put us in a lot of trouble!!!

If he is playing as instructed by Rodgers then it makes no sense, as Fofana obviously is unsuccessful defending in this fashion. Then if it is a case of not learning from the past and either Fofana needs to curb his enthusiasm or Rodgers needs to roll back his thoughts, in respect of the risk he is looking to take in the defence.

Fofana is a quality player and Soyuncu had the same problem originally, stepping in to beat the attacker.,That part of his game has been curbed somewhat and is not so much part of his defensive tool as compared to when he first came to us.

Twice a season, like clockwork.

Well he's already got more than that! Including important assists in the last 3 games.

His defending is good, he tracks back and gets forward. Don't understand what else you want from him?

He's been a bloody good utility player for us right from his first game here. Radiculously underrated.
