Enough’s enough.

PLEASE take Maddison off our set pieces.

Not only are we incapable of defending the opposition’s or scoring from our own, the delivery is now so poor that it’s facilitating counter-attacking opportunities for the opposition.

He takes every single one. Back in the title winning season we had Mahrez, Fuchs and Albrighton alternating. None of them were brilliant at them but it kept the opposition guessing. Chilwell for all his faults was at least a different option last season.

There won’t be many sides in the top flight who have 95%+ of their set pieces being taken by the same person. It doesn’t work even if the delivery is consistently good because it’s predictable but Maddison puts in one good ball in 10. This is such a basic thing to put right.

We can’t defend.

We’re poor offensively with them.

Madders was terrible in open play but even worse on set pieces.

Our defending of set pieces is horrible. It’d be good if we had a keeper who could dominate his 6 yard box, but that’s not Kasper and never will be.

They we’re too strong for us, ran too hard. Disappointing

How can a team with such talent and aerial ability be so poor at set pieces. There's something fundamentally wrong with who is training set pieces or how it's being trained.

Frustrating how we seem to take our time over every set piece even though we know we’re not going to score and if anything just look more vulnerable on the break. Much rather we took some of those free kicks quickly especially in the middle of the pitch and try and catch them out rather than bringing all our defenders up for Madders to fail to beat the first man and he out of position when they counter.

When Maddison took that freekick in the first 5 mins from a ridiculous angle and tried to score I honestly thought it was in reaction to this thread!

We still look dodgy at defending corners. Looked like Chelsea’s only threat the other week, got away with two more today courtesy of an offside/good save and a last ditch Ricardo tackle.

I actually think Maddison taking set pieces is damaging his chances of making it to the Euros.  They are so bad it draws real attention to the flaws in his game.  Anything within shooting range is fine, but corners and other set pieces I'd rather see him loitering around the edge of the box to ping anything that pops out.

I don’t think he was trying to score? Just a mishit bigger than usual.

Watching Raphinha whip in dangerous corner after corner really showed how bad our delivery has been.

Yeah, or every other team that we played against including Brentford recently.

There are several players in his position much better, he ain’t going to the euros. He needs to knuckle down and improve . Defo agree with idea of rotation at set pieces , most teams do, keeps opposition guessing ?

We had some bad takers in the late noughties but we are supposed to be pushing for top six now. It is staggering how BR and Schmeichel (as captain) are allowing this to continue game after game.  It's all well and good being great whilst messing about with your mates in training but this is now costing us in matches.

How can we not have a single first team player who can simply cross a football in the danger area?

Not been this bad at corners since Gareth Williams chipped every corner into the front post aiming for a flick on:nono:

Even those floaters were better than the shite we’re seeing at the mo 🤣

...a lot of our yellow cards are due to stopping ourselves being countered!!!

It only takes one person to have the sense to take a quick free kick knowing that Barnes or Vardy are alert and expecting it. It could be such a weapon, especially for us, a team that likes to break against the opposition.
