Arsenal fan here. His passing and general technique is excellent. Comfortable with both feet, goes past people with ease and rarely ever gets beaten one on one.

His biggest problem is sometimes the game looks a bit too easy and he can get overly casual. He’s confident but there are fine margins.

I think he’ll thrive in midfield. Arteta’s an idiot for letting him go and keeping Elneny.

Sounds like he would fit the bill, but it seems Arteta s not willing to let us have him, which is a shame.

...just looking at the Youtube reel and you Mr. guest poster are spot on!!!

He just need to tighten up his game, the ball is just that bit too far from his body, can beat a player with the movement of his body from 5 yards. Does not shirk a hard tackle (unlike a certain mr Maddison) and looks like he can add quality to our squad.

Not sure if this would allow Barnes to take up a strikers role now and again. What would prevent this deal from completing would be the Option/Obligation to buy and one option would commit us to a spend we do not want reducing the ability to finance getting in a striker.

He’s a utility player / jack of all trades isn’t he? That’s normally code for slightly better than shit in about 4 positions.

Is he supposed to be cover for Ndidi? Not sure we need another full back (as think he’s played there also).

No, he’s a midfielder. He only ended up playing in defence as emergency because we had no backup for Bellerin when he got injured early last season.

Wenger gave him his start in the CL. Since then Emery and Arteta have taken the piss. If we had better cover at full back than Kolasinac and a back up for Bellerin he wouldn’t play there.

The one start he made in midfield this season against Rapid Vienna he stole the show. Bagged a brilliant assist and dictated the game.

I think we’re making a huge mistake. Not Gnabry levels, but close.

Watch us get the blame for this when it's probably Arsenal who have been able to call the shots.

There's probably fvck all we could have done here but no doubt some fans will aim their anger at vitriol to the club about him going to West Brom.

There’s not exactly a groundswell in favour of getting him - I don’t think too many will be putting burning crosses on the club’s  lawn
