Brendan and his staff clearly have next to no confidence in Hamza, so best to get him improved elsewhere and then sell him It's about the here and now though. If a time comes in the coming weeks where Hamza would normally have to play but is not here, so we have to play a player (Chalobah) who is Championship level at best, then that will weaken the prospects of the team getting results, and so lessen the prospects of finishing top 4 and everything that comes with that. I'm not saying Hamza would make the difference either, but I would feel he would contribute more than the likes of Chalobah, that's for sure.
coolhandfox Posted 1 February 2021 Posted 1 February 2021 Just now, AKCJ said: No but that's because we had an unprecedented number of injuries and would have been playing an actual child if we didn't sign Bennett. It's the same with this. If we were to go through the same injury record then we'd have to dip into the academy and Rodgers has already said there isn't a good enough option in there. I think we are going to have the same issue with injuries this year with the amount of games. It not far fetched to say he will be need, with Praet, Ndidi already injured, one to Youri and his playing.

Not sure who people expect in this particular window I get that logic but it's clear a centre forward primarily is key as backup. There must be someone out there on the loan market who can come in and give us a natural centre forward until the end of the season. Yes its backup to Vardy but we have an immediate need and theres no guarantee Vardy hits immediate form on return having missed a few weeks. Would love an option on bench we feel if required can come on and help the team in that forward spot. I'm all for going for a CF in the summer permanently

Reginaldo Posted 1 February 2021 Posted 1 February 2021 Think this is a ruse by the club - put the name of someone so uninspiring we are grateful when we get no signings. Rudkin has us on strings... 3
ROB-THE-BLUE Posted 1 February 2021 Posted 1 February 2021 BR and Chalobah are the new Peter Taylor and Junior Lewis

AKCJ Posted 1 February 2021 Posted 1 February 2021 Newcastle supposedly very close to signing Joe Willock which may mean the dominoes fall in such a way that would mean they're no longer interested in Hamza, which would mean we wouldn't need a replacement. Which would mean all the bed wetting and tears on here would be for nothing Not exactly sure what sort of midfielder Willock is though. From what i've seen he's more attacking than Hamza.
Reginaldo Posted 1 February 2021 Posted 1 February 2021 ... but to be on the safeside can we blockade the A46. I can do the 5-6pm shift

Cannot comment on Chalobah, I don't watch Watford, and certainly if you look on our forum (especially on Sunday) all of our players are Vanarama quality. If he comes in I will support him. I also see he logic it getting Hamza out ther We may just have to disagree on this

AMN is a much better midfielder according to Arsenal fans, and its not as if football fans like to be reactionary..

TheF1Bob Posted 1 February 2021 Posted 1 February 2021 Still can't believe we're going after more championship fodder. We've got enough of them here as it is.
mozartfox Posted 1 February 2021 Posted 1 February 2021 Please God may the Club fax machine have a paper jam at 10.59.59 pm tonight🤞.
matty98 Posted 1 February 2021 Posted 1 February 2021 I'd rather us just promote someone from the u23s. Why not give Callum Wright a chance? He's an attacking midfielder and has racked up decent stats this season. 3

The have a deal done in principal and then just sign on the dotted line after the match. Still time to process paper work and stuff. It may have been a condition for Watford to sell if they are trying to get a replacement today.
