No reason he can't be in the squad, play and still sign. No need for a medical is there.

If he was to get injured it would mess all three deals up, can't see him being allowed to play if he was about to move on loan to somewhere else.

what am i missing here? surely hamza is better than chalobah??

At what? Sitting on the bench not playing? Hamza wants to play football and the club want him in the shop window

Unless we have an influx of injurys neither are going to play. We've got Mendy & Amarty to fill any gaps at DM, and i wouldnt be against Fofana playing there if needed and Cags at CB.

Whoever comes in will just be here to make up numbers, maybe a 10min cameo in a cup game

Undoubtedly, however Hamza needs to be playing every week so it would be better for him to go on loan. We would need someone to play Hamza's role in the side in cover. Given Hamza just about never plays, it may as well be someone Rodgers knows and trusts.

Why not just get the King of Kings back if it's just to make up the numbers?

Yeah, or Drinky?

Why not? I’m sure loan transfers still involve a medical don’t they?

I'd rather us just promote someone from the u23s. Why not give Callum Wright a chance? He's an attacking midfielder and has racked up decent stats this season.

BR said they'd already looked at the U23's and none impressed enough to be brought in to the first team at this time. pretty damming really, but there you go

I think common sense if often exercised.

This is a player who has played nearly every game this season and would only be coming on loan.(no games missed through injury)

Wouldn't be unhappy with that.

What after he screwed the club over with demanding the move on last day of transfer window.
messed us up for that season.

Drinkwater (other beverages are available) could be a good temporary signing.

On the plus side he has proved his quality at times.  More so than AMN or Chalobah.  Of the three, he is the most deserving of having been capped by England.  How rusty is he?

Cannot comment on Chalobah, I don't watch Watford, and certainly if you look on our forum (especially on Sunday) all of our players are Vanarama quality. If he comes in I will support him. I also see he logic it getting Hamza out ther

We may just have to disagree on this :scarf:

I don't really rate Hamza but if Chalobah is just making up the numbers then why not just keep Hamza around? Unless Hamza has said he wants to play.

All seems a bit of a circus.

When you log on to the "Transfer Talk" pages, with not long left before the window closes, and the only hot thread is this one it makes for a depressing Monday morning.

I'm just about to utter a non-audible: "FFS" and log off again
