Im not expecting us to sign some world beater but someone that can help. this guy is worse than hamza. if we cannot sign anyone not even on a loan basis that can actually be decent or of decent level the alaram bells need to be sung, its not like praet got injured yesterday

I have no idea. All i'm saying is that Nathaniel Chalobah wouldn't be described as an attacking player by anybody that had actually watched him play football. Dominoes will fall with this transfer. Looks to be that Longstaff, Choudhury and Chalobah are in a three way transfer between Newcastle, us and Watford. Newcastle and Leicester want their players to get game time and we need a body to cover if the worst comes to worse to enable that. We'll then reassess in the summer. 1

But maximising an asset in Hamza IS looking after the club - his resale value/opportunities will increase with playing. Brendan and his staff clearly have next to no confidence in Hamza, so best to get him improved elsewhere and then sell him

He's made it clear he wants to sell him, the only interest for us in getting him game time is to then hopefully sell him but this shouldn't be our main priority in the short term when replacing him with someone inferior as a stop gap.

You are forgetting we HAD to get a defender in as we had zero back up. We don't need another defensive midfielder, we can just keep Choudhury.
